David Copperfield will always be the greatest illusionist!!! No one will ever come close to duplicating his style, and approach to Magic of theater. I hadn't started following Mr. David Copperfield until the early 1990s. However when I did follow his yearly television specials, I never let up. Infact he toured to My city/state at which I quickly took the opportunity to purchase tickets to go to his show. Five years in a row, I had the honors of seeing him in person. Simply Awesome!!!

I remember the vignette at the end with the father and son. My Dad recorded these David Copperfield specials. It's amazing how things still stay in your head. Thanks Dad❤️

My father always made time for us kids no matter how much overtime he worked and how tired he was. It made me sad to think that so many kids even back then were neglected.

This is one of the earliest TV things I remember! I was 5. We recorded this on VHS and watched it for years. What a mindfck to see it now.

Thanks for posting this! I worked on this episode back in 1985 - you can see me at 43:00 as the kid who wins the sack race and hugs the father while the main kid sadly looks on. It was a lot of fun to be a part of and I got to meet David Copperfield - he was a really nice guy. I remember he wore a lot of makeup for the bright lights on the studio set.

*The movie projector trick is his best trick.* Not the bigger ones like the Statue of Liberty. it shows perfect timing or the illusion of perfect timing. he clearly loves his art.

@@MagicWeekVideoArchive Why does it say 1985 then?
@MagicWeekVideoArchive Жыл бұрын
@@twcclassics That was when it was made. For international shows I may list the actual year that the show was produced in, as we often got to see them sometimes many years later here in the UK.
