So true. When you need to listen to people explaining complex things, don't mix it with complex rhythms and melodies. Especially at high-mid to high range. They collide (pun) with the consonants of the speaker. Just put some ambience on the background. And another useless thing is to compress the background 'music' so any second the speaker keeps a second of silence, the music pops up again for half a second. Yes, I have worked as a sound engineer and this is way wrong.
