Fun fact, Markhor populations have increased the most over the past 30 years not within completely protected national parks, but in legal hunter managed areas. Since international hunters are willing to pay $200,000 USD + for a mature male, locals have made huge efforts to preserve herd numbers, and restore them to a huge amount of their historic range. Long way to go still, but it would be amazing if this continues.

@@mohsinmmir1 ok indian🤣 first of all there are markhors in northern punjab, KPK and balochistan also. secondly markhors are not in kashmir valley but in gilgit and gilgit is histrically not part of kashmir valley, only when britishers made a kashmiri princely state.

Fantastic very knowledgeable Markhor ki hifazat lazmi hai baqi parindy tu wesi he wildlife Dept ki waja se khtam hogaye hai q k wo sirf licence ki leyai hai jin se oun ka khud ka paida hai baqi pir agar koye breeding season mai shekar q na karai wildlife ko koye masla nahe bs sirf licence bana chaheyai jin se watcher k commission or promission ho swat wildlife ka tu yahe haal hai swat mai hr nasal ke paridy tabh hogaye hai

Because of this trophy huntic markhor population is increasing, because local community are protecting markhor for money.. 80% of hunting money goes to local communities who are protecting markhor, only 4 markhor you can kill in year... And the only markhor you can hunt which are between 10 to 13 years, because they are on there last stages. So please do some research before distributing shame.

Habitat loss aur diseases se hazaro 1 jatak ma mar sakte ha ..Aur over protection se ek dum se 10000-20000 ho jayenge ...it's complicated when u don't hve big cats in tht area to maintain dear population....It's alright Little bit of hunting

these markhors are native of norther and western himaliyas of kashmir valley thats why they are called kashmiri markhor, these goats migrate on seasons thats how they end up in chitral region, for your information they are even present in tajikistan, plus if you knew a bit of history then you would know that chitral was a part of kashmir state before it was added to kpk
