Hi Tia. I picked this up along with CTW and Food Chain. I played Maiden for the first time last night. Very intriguing. I fell into the trap of trying to match pairs right off the hop via night mode, only realizing by day 5 I had odd pairs remaining that had to be manipulated with day rules. Unfortunately that ship had sailed as I already eliminated those positions on the “clock”, as it were. I like this game. Cool mechanics and just enough of a thinker to make it fun. Thanks for introducing it.

Neato! I think any micro game is worthy. I only now know this, sprawlopolus, and Clash of Popes. You could try those or any other you thing is worth our time. I really like how you got the smaller thumbnail of you playing, but you took the time and looked at the camera when you explained things. Unlike most KZbinrs who do it, you do show that you care what the viewer sees and what the viewer is to get out of it. Small details go a long way! Awesome!

I will definitely have to try Avignon! The theme doesn't speak to me as much, so I haven't gotten it yet... but I'll definitely throw it in the cart with my next order. ^^ And glad to hear that comes across! I just recently got this, though I’ve played other Todd Sanders games. Very cool little game and YES! If you don’t plan ahead, you’ll find yourself with a lone tree you won’t be able to match with anything to win. Very cool. Loving it! Have you tried Elevenses For One? A neat little puzzle card game as well with very cute art. Thanks for posting a playthrough of this!

Excellent play through as always! I found to keep myself from manipulating the wrong cards, I just covered those cards with other button shy game wallets. Made it easier to see what could be moved around. Would that be considered cheating??

Maybe explain how to win the game or what you are trying to accomplish at the start of the video. You explain how you can move and swap the cards but not why.

Hi; definitely agree that explaining the goal/ win condition at the beginning of the video is important! The objective is stated @ 00:16 "In this game, we'll be playing as a maiden who's trying to escape from an enchanted forest, represented by these 12 tree cards." and how to do that @ 00:39 "If we're able to filp all 12 tree cards before the end of 12 rounds, then we have won." Hope this helps! :)

@@tabletoptokki But the powers allow you to swap card spots, does that then allow you to rotate and flip the cards? Sorry, its just not clear what you are doing at the beginning.

This is covered during the explanation of each phase: Day 01:04 (using items to swap card places) Night 01:48 (rotating and flipping trees using spells) To see each of these in action, the first turn of the playthrough starts at 02:28.
