I see a lot of people claiming this song is about a villain or anti-villain, but what about an anti-hero? It’s rare to find those and honestly I feel like this song suits one perfectly: a person whose actions have been good, they stopped the villains from taking down the city, saved lives, but not for the good of the people around them. A “hero” whose only goal is self-satisfaction, who wants to be the emperor on the throne, and nothing they do is enough to satisfy their own ego and want for more.

An antagonist who tried so hard to be bad but he is cursed so that every move he made will be beneficial for others, the story follows on as he realized being a villain isnt a thing for him, he opens up a stand up comedy show and have fun with his sidekick.

I don't know if it really even supposed to be a character in a story. It feels like it is intended as an allegory for people. One person in here agreed in a way by saying it's about a narcissist, and they are right by that, but also it applies to many people just to a lesser degree. We all feel we are the main characters of our lives, and with that comes the bias of looking at the main character. You get the main character's thought processes and excuses, so you tend to be more lenient towards them. We have reasons to do things, so we already feel we are justified. You may realize in retrospect, but only if you choose to challenge ourselves. I think that is roughly what happens in the royal part, and then they still hold tightly to their self importance by being a necessary character and justifying this character as well.
