I lived in rural CT. We had an acre of woods that looked like this. You brought back memories of hearing the icy branches make a symphony of twinkles, booms and crackles. Then came the sad part when the birch tree branches came crashing to the ground.

So I looked at the map and here in the UK we are further north than Maine. But I find it unbelievable there is still so much snow around there at this time of year. When on earth does spring start? Here the daffodils are nearly over, the wild garlic is growing everywhere, the woods are full of anemones and violets and a few early bluebells. I know this sounds silly, but because I watch the videos and basically the seasons are roughly comparable, it's such a surprise to see that even now you seem to still be in the middle of winter. Thank God for the Gulf Stream I suppose. It always strikes me, especially when I see the place names, the first settlers from England must have thought they had ended up somewhere where winter never ends. Kind of like Narnia.

I've never tried snowmobiling in my life but I am interested in doing it. Most places I've looked into charge at least $300 a day so I have stopped before about buying one used off maybe Craigslist at a very low price to make it worthwhile. But then I need a trailer and I literally don't even have a trailer hitch. Maybe I'll try it someday just for a day and I'll make cool videos of that

Not sure if you are aware of tires that have The 3-Peak Mountain Snowflake Symbol (3PMS for short) is a six-pointed snowflake inside a three-peak mountain, found on tires that meet specific standards. They can be on all season or all terrain tires, but give you better winter performance.

What does it mean freezing rain? How big is a moose will it charge at you if it sees you in the daytime? Do beavers have to come out of water for air or they can stand the water all winter? Is it the middle of the night when you're driving or is it daytime it's so dark? It's like nobody else lives on your planet other than those few trucks that passed you. I live in Southern California I've never seen that much driving without passing other car in my life
@post.102 жыл бұрын
It's normal rain but when it touches a surface below freezing it freezes on contact making a shell and slippery surface. Beavers have lungs they have to come out of the water. Moose are unlikely to attack but it's possible

Do you have to have your vehicle checked often since you drive on these rough roads. Aren't you concerned about Angry Moose or Bears in early Spring?
@post.102 жыл бұрын
No I'm not concerned, I have encountered moose and swamps who have given me threatening poses but that was the most just walked the other way. No I don't have my vehicle inspected often because of the bumpy roads. There are certain things I can check myself but if you're asking if I'm worried about breaking down in a place like this not really because eventually somebody will come and I got my insurance company to sign something saying they'll tow me out of a place like this at no extra cost with my Roadside Assistance Plan as long as the road has a name on Google Maps
