Seriously one of the best KZbin videos I’ve ever watched. I’ve searched high and low for the nerdy details and visuals of the ride design software and this hit the nail on the head perfectly.

Thank you, I can't get enough of those in-depth explanations of all the thoughts that went into those Mack layouts, I also really enjoyed this talk about the voltron layout with Stefan and Patrick in the Europa-Park podcast (the world beyond). It's just awesome that you guys that started as entusiasts like us are creating those bonker layouts now, and I really hope that the new extreme spinner in Holiday Park will be on par with The ride to hapiness. @altlenny, keep rocking!

57:27 That's very clearly a Youngstar like Pegasus (Can't tell if it's the Pegasus version or the one with extra helix, as we don't see as far into the layout). I'm too used to seeing those plans! Thanks for the video!

Really interesting and informative! Thank you so much for sharing this. I would love to see the other 7 layouts for Hyperia!! I mean I love the one they went with but that first design looked really fun so super curious what the others looked like haha Very interesting that they brought up Alton Towers when talking about restrictions and adapting to those.... Potential project in the pipeline over there?

Wait... So they came up with design number 6 because they didn't have space for a classic hypercoaster.. Yet the first version they show before is exactly that: A classic hypercoaster. It also shows that there was plenty of space to do it as Hyperia also has a lot of very long parts where they could go straight.. What happened there??

Merlin wanting to save money

remember that most of the people at the parks ( CEO/marketing/commercial) are not enthusiasts so prob dont care as much as us about specifics or nuance like enthusiasts do.... only what is "best value", most "marketable". its clear Thorpe values inversions over airtime, inversions more marketable...
@goblinwoblin78204 ай бұрын
There's a good chance that merlin came back and said that they weren't capable of going so much into the trees due to environmental issues. even with layout 6 being selected project exodus still faced objections by environmental groups.
@davidnevolo44024 ай бұрын
Im not upset that it changed dramatically... the first iteration was too normal. Drop, airtime hill, classic rmc looking outerbank on a turnaround, etc etc. The iteration built is far more innovative. Twisting drop, noninverting immellman that levels out early enough to be an airtime hill at its crest after changing directions as well, the outerbank which is not an outerbank at all and deserves a new title. Its like an inverted hammerhead stall that turns into a death roll/zero g drop. Followed by a zero g stall that levels out as a dive loop. If they had more money id be happy to see the trim removed after that and finally some classic airtime hills, but i frankly wouldnt trade the first 75 percent of the experience for something that looks essentially like an 2001 intamin hyper coaster.

Not really. English is the dominant world language, it would make no sense for us to learn German to that degree. Also no reason to learn German specifically vs French, Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, or any other other world language
