I find it funny when people on social media complain about comments..Especially when they ask for an opinon! Not everyone is putting their life out on social media but if one is going to do that they should also accept that there will be comments that they wont agree with. It's just life. Best thing to do is just move on from them and focus on the positive comments. She's going to do what she wants to do anyways and that's perfectly fine too. I think a full pink dresser with mirror panels on the doors would look lovely. The white on the dresser is too stark for the vintage color palette. She could use wallpaper on the two smaller cabinets and replace the existing mirror with another painting.

The armoir would look so great with a long mirror on the front of the door. You could take out the middle wood piece and make it one big section giving you a floor length mirror. It would also add so much light to the space and would make it feel bigger too.

Dear Elise, You seem to have multiple styles of furniture, color schemes & patterns in your closet. I think you’re correct about the dresser under the window not fitting in. The pink & very white cupboard isn’t coordinating with anything else in the closet. The mask is from Thailand and is an evil spirit type character. You definitely need much more light in that closet. You’ll probably change things one by one as you find alternative ideas & ways for decorating the space. Just let it happen a bit later.

It is so beautiful ❤ I am having random visions of the wardrobe being white (with the wallpaper still) with gold painted features, like maybe where the pink is now and the design on the top in gold 😍 then maybe - just maybe ... get a sheet of wallpaper the same size as the one on the wardrobe, same floral design too... but in a white or light pink colour and put that on the wardrobe, so same design but a lighter colour 😍 pop a plant or mirror on the smaller cabinet or put mirror straight on the floor next to wardrobe and put cabinet under the window next to drawers and put a plant on top 😍 so much info but just giving some ideas 😍😍 love the mask some of them are scary hahaha but he looks nice! Hi Elise, I’m wondering if you have ever looked at William Morris wallpaper and fabric designs. His use of colors resemble your taste in colors. I’m sure you’ve seen his stuff, but just in case you haven’t, Google his art. Your eye for color is definitely you’re forte. I love Thailand, Bali, etc. I Iike the mask. 😂 You have eclectic taste in how you decorate your home which is just how I love it. You can chop and change things around to your hearts content. Nothing is cast in stone. I go through phases. Everything of mine is thrifted at the moment. I moved from one part of the world to the other with a suitcase. I had to start from ground zero, so thrifting helped me to get nice things at prices I could afford. It's so much fun to hunt for treasures than walk into a superstore and buy mass produced items. Of course, there is no hard and fast rule to life. It is what you make of it, and you are such a super creative person. Well done, so proud of you! Decorating usually is not a permanent destination. You get stuff sometimes only to get rid of it because it isn't right for the space, you aren't happy with it after a while or you want to freshen up the space. That is normal. I have done that for years. I think that green side table would be perfect in your bedroom. It goes with what you have there now and will add more color to the space. Lamps are sometimes hard to get due to the size of what you need. You'll find it. I think a chandelier would look great in there. It would be neutral, would create a lot of light versus one that was shade.

Your large long brick wall in the sitting room so needs a stove there especially as we get nearer Autumn and winter. Esse do a black cast iron electric one called Firemaster solo that looks like a tall cut out conservatory stove and very pretty and you could have a mantle of old reclaimed wood over and logs stored up and it would be so cosy with sheepskin rugs or similar. It so needs a focal point and the size of your windows and doors mean you need to have some warmth there. No need to install a chimney unless you bricked out into the room but I have found this to be the perfect solution in my sitting room as the chimney had gone and you can turn the stove off and the cast iron retains the heat - so cosy. :-) The gingery tone in the walk in wardrobe with that beautiful blue ceiling are two colours I love together. I so much prefer your brass table to the rattan one. Yes wardrobe needs an elegant chandelier - glass maybe?

Hello Elise, thank you for a lovely video. I am so happy for you for creating a "closet room" that you like. You did an awesome job on wallpapering it and decorating. My hat off to you for your bravery and ingenuity and craftsmanship. A few comments: Next time you may want to move your coffee BEFORE spritzing the coffee table with a glass cleaner to avoid cleaner drops in your coffee. Also, I was a bit concerned when you were wallpapering your cabinet in your new dress.... you don't want any glue or paint on it. Lastly, if you paint that dresser under the window, do NOT paint the sides of the drawers as that might create problems when opening and closing the drawers. It all depends on how it is build. If there is extra space, it's not a problem, but if the fit of the drawers is tight, adding paint to the sides will create a problem. Have a wonderful week. Thank you.

Love love how this room is coming about, but of course I have an “except part” the pink striped areas, and the scrolling on the top and sides on the closet is jarring to me. I would love to see a fireplace at least a mantle .. with topiary and knic knacks on top and tall large mirror above the mantle and twinkle lights and or candles and plants where the fire would be..maybe a battery operated water fountain in there with a few large rocks in there with small feathery plants coming out of the rocks..this would make for a beautiful refuge I believe for you and your guests to rest your eyes upon..and takes some of the brick away. Since you are an artist like myself could you paint 2 windows on either side of the fireplace. One with you peaking out of the window looking out at a lovely display of nature and small cottages perhaps??? Hello Elise! I love that wallpaper! I like how the furniture turned out. It’s raining here today too. With the occasional thunder. I love rainy days. But it does get very dark, I had to turn my lights on. At least when it rains you do not have to water the flowers. They are so beautiful! That white dress is gorgeous, it looks like a wedding dress. It’s too bad it doesn’t fit you, you would look amazing in it. I love that wooden chest underneath the window. Your view outside the window is so beautiful. I love your video’s.

I like the rug as is, it ties in the blue from the ceiling. If you change it to a beige colour, you'll need something else to tie in the blue or it will look really out of place. Love the wall paper and the paint colour on the dresser, it was the right choice to also add paper to the wardrobe, it really ties it in.

The painting is absolutely perfect! A word of caution--I knew someone who converted a bedroom into a large walk-in closet and dressing room. Even though the window had little sun exposure, it still faded her clothes over time. It faded them unevenly--the fade was where the exposed sleeves and edges could get light from the window. She had to install both a dark shade and blinds to protect her clothes from fading. I'd hate to see all your beautiful clothes become unevenly weathered in this way.😬

Closet is beautiful. Not a fan of the mask or the rose color on the large wardrobe, but overall love it. The chest of drawers is great with the neutral wood.

Yes I like the mask. And I like the dusky rose dress you wore. While you wait for the perfect ceiling light, its okay to just have a bare bulb in the fitting for functionality. If you are changing the rug out, will you still keep the blue sheers? White sheers might end up being a better fit? A beautiful room.
