20 years and probably a 100 titles later, this game is still in my top 5 favorites of all time.

I wonder what would a Fast Times at Ridgemont High game by Westwood would’ve looked like?

still on my top 5 including modern games masterpieces. i was a kid when I played this, but the blade runner atmosphere got so engrained in me since then.

Easily my favourite game of the 90’s, very difficult but complimented the Blade Runner universe perfectly.

This game sound like such a bad idea. Get an iconic and perfect movie and turn in to a game with it own story....sound like many of those terrible reboots out there... How ever.. this game did the impossible, it is amazing on par with the book and movie quality and master piece. It realy complement the movie story. I love that game.

I have it too, from the official Press Kit. Stupid that it is an avi-file of almost 140 mb and FB makes it a mp4 file of less than 20 mb, hopeless indeed. Any idea if it is possible to upload in higher format?

I've played and finished this game before but I don't remember sean young's Rachel character in it
@aldoboeddha384 жыл бұрын
Me too the first time back in 97, Check for walkthroughs. You have to talk to the deskjockey at Tyrell about meeting him, have checked the computers at tEisendoller and then ask Guzza to set the meeting up. With the new Restored Enhanced edition you can meet Rachel more often...

Ah, the days before the powerful GPU-cards. God bless the prerendered voxel-engine and a great game. Westwood was the king back then together with Lucasarts.
@GSAVIOUR1813 жыл бұрын
@MultiZirkon I've always felt the same about the atmosphere in this game too, I can't think of any other games either though, Longest Journey was great (I wouldn't put it up with BladeRunner though in terms of atmosphere), it was epic though!

Lovely promo from Westwood from my all-time favourite game, reason I bought a PC back in the day. Must have played this gem dozens of times. Where did you find this great footage? Westwood website before 2000 when they were taken over by EA? Would LOOOVE to know if there's more out there. Thanks a billion!

Yeah, Its one of my all time favorites too. I can't remember where I picked this up but likely westwood site or some fan site.
@aldoboeddha384 жыл бұрын
@@Falling_Stream The french dubbed version is also on KZbin: kzbin.info/www/bejne/g5KceWVrq9iHrNE saying: "Trailer found on couvermount CD of french magazine Generation 4 (issue #105, December 1997)". So probably came on an extra promo disc that came with a magazine as was common use back in the day.

I've never found a game with atmosphere than this old game. The Longest Journey (in the original language) is side by side, but I've not found any with more atmosphere. -- Suggestion for other game is welcome though... Some may scream, but even as I loved the movie, I thought the game was a small notch better...

I don't know how they do that, but mocap or not, motion is just nothing of natural in most games... as i imagine it may be quite hard to fuck up, but damn in 99% they manage... it's way better to have some talented animators behind your project instead.
