Regarding the section at 13:00 The session definitely was for Great Expectations, as the Brooklyn Boys Choir was there to be recorded. Quite a few images of the band also posing with them from that day.

They owe so much success to this guy, Bill Aucoin, Neil Bogart and Sean Delaney. KISS suck now because Gene and Paul have deluded themselves into thinking THEY were the guys that came up with all these cool concepts. They didn’t.

There were so many fifth members of KISS (the total product). So much more than just the songs. And, heck, even the some of the best Gene and Paul songs had 'outsider' help…Ezrin, Child, Adams, and so on and so on.

41:21 Jesus, it must be easy to be a record collector where you live. The Kiss reissue LPs from 2014 cost 45-50€ here - an original Love Gun pressing in good condition and with all the goodies inside would be like 200€.

Interesting image of Kiss now that we know Ace is 6'2" and Peter 5'8"....yet Ace seems shorter in the image.

Great interview, as always! I've always wondered why the artwork on the label (the "intervention") is slightly different than the album, especially Peter. It may have been an early sketch, but that doesn't make sense since the album labels would be printed after the album cover...right? But since Dennis didn't do the album label, he wouldn't likely wouldn't know.

Wow terrific observation! I hadn't noticed this before. My best guess is they didnt want peter's head covering the KISS logo. So they shrank it down. ( it didnt read too well shrunk down, so they gave him different attitude, almost like Ace's) The other obvious difference is genes head is shrunk too, yet he stands taller( neckwise anyhow)... Being a fan I can easily read into this, Who are the most important members of KISS?

Ken said they picked up the painting 🎨 before he could finished it, they had the album done and they needed the painting to ship the records. That's the reason of the lady floating head and Peter's outfit details not completely finished

That still bugs me to this very day. It always will. It's a super-cool painting but it would be so much cooler if Kelly would've had a chance to really finish the whole painting. Period! Really clumsy, on both Kelly's part & the Aucoin Management. They could have & should have waited 12 hours/postponed the printing process by one day, just so Kelly could've finished the damn thing.

Possibly their best album cover. I liked hearing about the blood logo, but i've never understood it. Blood doesnt have anything to do with Love Gun.
