I've had my paraguard for almost 10 years. Unfortunately IUD strings hang a bit low, since doctors want you to check the string when you shower so you know the placement is right and not whole IUD w/string moving into the uterus. And if you are blessed/cursed with a low cervix then your fingers easily fit it. I'd say at least 50% of guys probably can feel it [i nagged my husband to tell me if it was annoying him]. ESP before the cords soften and start to curve around the cervix. When they are freshly placed they hang out straight down and are stiff.

Funnily enough, about the diarrhea hardening if you don't poop it out, I was tested on that this morning in school. In case you wanted some more detail on how the "diarrhea going backwards" thing works, your poop gets stored in your large intestine and your rectum. As the food travels through the large intestine, water gets absorbed, and the amount of water absorbed determines how hard your poop is. Your large intestine undergoes several types of contractions to move the food, one of them being retropulsion (aka, going backwards). When your poop reaches the end of your large intestine, it has to pass through 2 sphincters (muscle flaps) to get pooped out. Only the external one is voluntary, which is what you control in order to poop. So if your diarrhea were to go past the internal sphincter and enter the rectum, it'll sit there until you voluntarily poop it out through the external sphincter. If you're not ready to poop, your body wants to get rid of the poop pressure building in your rectum, so it will loosen the internal sphincter, and this allows any contractions by the large intestine to churn your poop back into your body. Think of it like water hitting a wall and getting shoved back to where it came from. K that's it on the poop talk HAHA great podcast! love you guys 🤣💕

My husband had testicular torsion last year when he was 29 and once they twist there’s a greater chance of them retwisting which they did so he needed the surgery. They essentially stitch your testicle to the sack so they can’t twist again. He said the recovery was the most painful thing of his life and he’s so scared any time he gets any slightly strange pain. He’s scarred for life

Every Tuesday I don’t have lectures until late afternoon so I get to sit and eat my breakfast while watching a new ep in one sitting and it’s the most comforting routine ☕️☕️
@solenerougier1172 жыл бұрын
Hi ! A few notes on testicular torsion : basically, any pain in your balls = go to the ER, it’s generally pretty painful and often on the top side of one of the testicles. If it’s twisted it cuts off circulation to the testicle and you’ve got 6 hours to get it untwisted (whether manually or through surgery) otherwise the testicle basically dies, so it’s important for men to have this in mind so that they can react quickly and get appropriate medical attention ! :) It’s not the most frequent but still… can be quite problematic ^^’ About IUD strings, guys can definitely feel them ! Gynecologists have to leave them sticking out in order to take out the IUD later on :) I love your podcast guys, it’s great to hear such authentic discussion :D
