​@@irisschnabel9622 Basic premise was: you can make it make sense if Donna joins a hippie commune in Greece where she meets Sam (who was a hippie, not a hipster!!!) and they break up right before Harry shows up (a guy Donna had a short fling with in Paris). Harry cannot deal with the free love of it all though and also has a transcendent experience with a man, so he leaves to figure things out and Donna meets Bill. The neat thing I had come up with is that the hippie commune could be on land belonging to Bill's aunt Sophia, who takes in Donna thinking it was Bill's child. My idea was to tie the movie to themes of self discovery and the first steps of a rich girl into the real world, where she goes from pretending to be an alternative bohemian to actually being one. All in all they just were cowards for not including hippies
