The beast rising out of the sea was: what army was west of Jerusalem across the sea? Rome!! The beast outta the land was the High Priest.

The sea symbolizes the non-Jewish nations (Daniel 7; Revelation 13; 17), while the land symbolizes Israel. The antichrist will come from the north, not from the west, nor from Rome, that's why he is called the king of the north, the king of babylon, the assyrian, etc...., and will be a Muslim, while the false prophet will come from Israel and will be a Jew. Shalom

QUESTIONS:... if Judas Iscariot was the one being said (referred) to be the "SON (singular) of PERDITION" or "MAN (singular) of LAWLESSNESS" (John 17:12 & 2 Thessa. 2:3), logically therefore, Judas Iscariot will come back as the End Times ANTICHRIST, and no one else?... or... was Judas Iscariot, not the one Christ Jesus was truly referring to in John 17:12? Take note: if somebody will argue that there were lots of AntiChrist who had already come in the past (such as Herod, Nero, Napoleon, Hitler, etc.)... then, it should have been said and written as the "SONS (plural) of PERDITION."... or... "SONS (plural) of the AntiChrist."... or ... "MEN (plural) of LAWLESSNESS." Just like the "SONS (plural) of God" which are the Angels (Celestial Beings)... while... "SON (singular) of God" which is solely Christ Jesus alone and no other else... In conclusion, if Judas Iscariot was the "SON (singular) of PERDITION" and "MAN (singular) of LAWLESSNESS" mentioned and referred to in John 17:12 / 2 Thessa. 2:3 / Rev. 13:1,... therefore, will Judas Iscariot come back in the End Times/Last Days as the ANTICHRIST??? ... Will that be like Prophet Elijah who will come back mentioned in Malachi 4:5 as one of the 2 Witnesses of God mentioned in Rev. 11:3???... Please, answer me logically and reasonable (w/ common sense), if possible with supporting Biblical Truth... thanks in advance... ++++++++++

I believe the antichrist that John is referring to is not the same as what Paul is referring to, because we know that John how to deal with a particular individual. According to the Eusebius, John was likely referring to Cerinthus. I think that the man of Lawlessness is the beast of Revelation, namely Nero.

The man of sin is the Papacy, or succession of Popes, (also see Daniel 7 (little horn) and Revelation 13, 17 & 18 (the beast,' Mystery Babylon, harlot & whore)), and the restrainer is the sucession of Roman Emperors. The Papacy arose when the Roman Empire broke down

The power of Rome warped Christianity into Roman Catholicism adding Mary worship Purgatory infant babtism the Bible in Latin and one pope leader in place of Christ and with final say on the doctrine of Christ. This power in history us responsible for 50 million deaths of protestors of their false doctrine made up from the Lawless One. The office of the papacy in history fills the understanding of 2nd Thessalonians chapter 2.

You spend unnecessary time on the intro and then rush through the bible references so that if is virtually impossible to follow you. I know that you properly value the Bible so why do this ?

The antichrist is the opposite of Christ...if Christ is a friend of sinners , then his opposite , the antichrist , is the enemy of sinners...he is coming into the world to convict sinners and destroy their evil works...if Christ save sinners , the antichrist , being the alter ego , will bring salvation to the righteous as opposed to Christ who is the savior of sinners...
