Puffy probably told him what he wanted him to say. Puffy not a rapper. It's not easy to come up with a solid sixteen without it being wack. It's a natural talent contrary to popular belief.

Jay-Z wrote for him too. It’s only a problem when they try and hide it. Pop stars don’t write their songs and no one cares. Some people are writers, some are just great performers. And occasionally we’re lucky and get someone who’s both.

I see a lot of you guys are bashing Puffy for not writing a tribute song to his close friend. Well what y'all are forgetting is Puffy was never a rapper, hence almost everything he spits isn't something he's written. As much as I agree that a tribute song must come from your heart to the deceased, it'd be very disrespectful to write just anything. If you listen to Sauce clearly he states that him and Puffy sat down... Puffy gave him a template to which he wrote to. I think Diddy did the write thing not to have attempted to write the lyrics himself, he's not a lyricist by any means. Let us all chill cos I'm sure Biggie would be appreciative of his friend's gesture, he literally thought Diddy how to rap so he wouldn't expect much from him.

Damn I thought Puff @ the very lease wrote that for Big.. Emotions produce ability, if a nigga angry he can 9 times out of 10 express that shit verbally effortlessly. Expressing happiness is a bit more difficult for some. Expressing sorrow easier for some.. Point is if puff would of had any love for Big he would of been able to write his own shit then had some one come in & tweak it here & there. Puff a cold dude.. But @ lease he honored Big @ the VMA's Hope Source got paid well for that record.

some people can't put how they feel to words. Puff isn't a writer he's a performer but he wanted to do something in honor of his friend. I see nothing wrong in asking someone to help you express yourself. Dre did it with the message a song dedicated to his brother but Royce wrote about his friend.

get it: diddy is not a song rapper... would you have prefered a version with wack bars and 0 flow for a tribute song? puffy did an amazing beat and he told sauce what to write, its like puff told the story and sauce wrote it down as a rap... whats so bad about it, its much better than if puffy would have had to try to write a song and turned out to be bad
