The Man Who Broke Britain (2004) | BBC Docudrama

A compelling dramatised documentary designed to reveal the fragility of financial trading systems. Shortly after a terrorist strike wipes out much of Saudi Arabia's oil production, a trader disappears from a UK investment bank, leaving crippling debts behind him. Then the bank is declared insolvent, the Saudi-born trader is found dead and a tape surfaces suggesting a possible connection with al-Qaeda. Britain soon finds itself plunged into a deep recession. Tim Pigott-Smith narrates.

Interesting concept for a docudrama if a little far-fetched.

some of it came true with "over the counter" being very important with the 2007 crash making the damages so much more although we havnt had am actual terror attack yet
