It really speaks to the talent of Dave Filoni, with the animated shows, Filoni with Lucas managed to both bring back Darth Maul but create a whole new legacy for him, the same has been done with Boba Fett, other than what was no more than a Cameo role really in the original Trilogy, it has been everything since then that gave the character some presence but this performance with the build up to his appearance, to the retrieval of his armour and seeing him in action is just what Filoni does best.

@@SeanWheeler100 because it shows that all Mandalorians have trouble with their jetpacks accidentally going crazy when bumped in the right spot. Mando hit the spot on purpose when Cobb was wearing the jetpack and it flew off then too, meaning it is a well known weakness that Han accidentally bumped flinging Boba into the Sarlacc put. It also shows that a Mandalorian can have bad luck, often, but persist and survive anyway through determination.

This was the shortest episode of the season so far, yet so much shit happened. Fennec came back from the dead, Boba Fett made his proper reintroduction and proved to be as badass as people always acted like he was, the Razoecrest was destroyed and Moff Gideon took Grogu. Now Din has a new crew of badasses to help him get the kid back so the next 2 episodes are going to be crazy.

To your observation of Grogu's treatment of the stormtroopers 'feeding into the fears of Asoka' I would point to 2 lessons of Master Yoda "Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering" and also "A Jedi uses the Force for knowledge and defense, never for attack" but in this context, Grogu is defending himself from a constant onslaught." it is at the minimum a _grey_ area.

Thanks for asking. There are a few reasons. You're getting in the shower and you're in your underwear getting a towel out of the closet. You just happen to look out the window, maybe hearing a kid scream... If you saw your kid getting kicked on the playground while he was down, would you grab your shirt and shoes.. stop and look for something to protect you with, or would you maybe throw some pants on while you're running down the street to their aid? Would you want your mom or dad to take their time to get to you if it was you in trouble? This also shows the endearment of Din growing into a father figure for Grogu. Another; the Dark Troopers are a little different odds than a few Storm Troopers. It's probably a good thing Din doesn't get to the stone in time. The writers had a reason not to have the pack on or have him think of bringing it to himself. He might be hurt badly or dead. There are too many other possibilities that can happen to be upset about something you expected to happen that didn't. It's what makes the story move forward. If they just keep running, we don't get to find out what they're doing with Grogu. Dr. Pershing will most likely make sure he's safe. The plot will likely 'make sure' he's not harmed.

Also, even if he had it on the first time, Grogu is still in the Force. It wouldn't have made any difference how fast he got up there. It's possible he would've hurt himself worse trying to get to Grogu.

Grogu is in danger, not from Gideon, but from himself. While it’s true children are resilient. Trauma can dictate negative actions. Grogu was traumatized before this started and now that he’s known affection and it being taken away... Grogu’s peril is the beginning of tragedy.

I was completely shocked to see Slave 1 in the ski. I honestly didn't know if we'd get Boba Fett back this season. And boy did we! This is the Boba I've been waiting to see since I was a kid. What a bad-ass. I was glad to also see Fennec Shand return, though I think seeing her in the recap was a bit of a spoiler. The loss of the Razor Crest felt like the killing off of a beloved character.

I loved this episode the thing which did take me for surprise with how 80% of this was shot on location compared to the stage which was noticeable felt a lot like lower budget TV in them fight shots the cinematography along with some Stormtroopers at some points looked animated for example the Stormtrooper at the drop ship (the first one running out) and the troopers getting hit by the rock. I imagine they used a lot of the budget for the last two episodes along with the Episode 1 which I completely understand this was a great episode my 2nd favourite of the season.

I, too, thought that they (I mean, the show 🤪) made him put down his jet pack so he can't reach Grogu in time in the end. 😅 It would seem that it would make more sense that Boba demands he put down his blaster, instead of his jet pack... However, I guess it still makes sense because Boba probably knows that it's next to impossible to disarm a Mandalorian by asking him to put his blaster down. Surely, he has many, many other weapons on his body aside from that. And so, he probably opted to make him get rid of his jet pack because it would be the one thing that gives him the most unfair advantage over Boba. So with that, I'm ok with it. This reasoning makes it feel a little less contrived.

I doubt it will be Ezra Bridger, especially since the interview with Dave Filoni saying the Epilogue may actually be after the events of The Mandalorian. Worried about Grogu going to the Dark Side. It was amazing to actually see Boba Fett being a badass. For years he's been a fan-favorite character but he never did much in the original movies. This....this redeems all those years of fandom like the best coupon ever. And yet again, Favreau and Filoni show that they should've been put in charge of Star Wars. This Epesode was amazing. Boba fett is back to himself and we learned how jango fett got his mandalorian armour. I mentioned one epesode one about mandalorian traditions and was told that lucas doesn't consider jango or boba as mandalorians but for story we now now that in some respect jango is a mandalorian by title because he was a founding. But boba is more of an echo to the tradition.

Can somebody explain to me why the StormTroopers wear armor? It doesn't seem to protect them from anything.
