R5 is the droid that Uncle Owen initially bought in A New Hope. The one with a bad motivator. The pod race in Phantom Menace was the "Boonta Eve Classic," held in celebration of the holiday.

Remember in A New Hope, before R5 popped his motivator, R2 was yelling up a storm. There's a somewhat new fan theory that R2 was telling R5 that HE had to go to these people (and possibly why), and R5 blew his circuit so that R2 could go to the Lars family. If it's true that R2 never had his memory wiped, he would know that the easiest way to find Kenobi (his mission), would be with the Lars family, since he knew that they knew both Obi-Wan and Anakin. I doubt Lucas had that all thought out from the get go, but it's a neat set of facts that fit the theory. I've pretty much accepted that theory in my own head canon.

@@IggyStardust1967 This is not really a fan theory. It's related to an old comic in which R5 is portrayed as force sensitive and that's supposed to be the reason why he manipulated his motivator back then.

@@Chunthoor I vaguely remember that the part where he blew it on purpose was also in the novelization for the movie. Not sure if the author made that detail up himself or if it was part of some version of the script. Edit: tracked down the novel and I remembered wrong. It was never mentioned by name and an "agricultural droid". Weird, for ages I had in my mind the he blew it to make sure R2 and 3PO could stay together. Now I have no idea where I read that...

Pretty crazy that we finally get to see Mandalore and the city of Sundari in live-action, yet it's the polar opposite of when we first saw it. In the Clone Wars, it was a bright, polished, beautiful city and now, it's just a haunting, war-torn wreck.

😮Mandalor air breathable. They found the waters. They saw a Mythosaur and it saw them. Bo Katan is bad ass. Grogu gurgles when distressed. Din is redeemed. So much happened today.

Bo Katan received the dark saber from Sabine Wren in Rebels. Since she didn't win it in battle, she was believed to be cursed.

Din fell. The stairs were broken under the dark waters' surface, and not being prepared to adapt to the sudden change, he was swept down by the weight of his armor. Some elsewhere have tried to suggest he was pulled down by the mythosaur, but the creature was startled by them. As to the cyborg, it was probably draining Din of his bodily fluids to sustain what little was left of its organic parts.

The kiber crystal at the heart of every light saber resonates with the Force, and conects with it wilder. Because of this, when the blade is activated, the wilders' thoughts, emotions, and spirit flow into the crystal and become part of the blade as a result. If the wilder are carrying baggage in any of the for mentioned areas, the crystal will not connect with the person and transfer the baggage into the blade as white.

This is a great part of fan lore. The Darksaber didn't rely on the wielder's use of the force as much as their emotions. The Light and Dark is a bit subjective for the Mandos since their culture was built on battle and constant fighting. But their sense of honor, and always doing what is right for their people was constant. The theory is that is why the Saber was so heavy for Din, he had honor but didn't really "Care" about leading or guiding his people so the Saber fought him. He heart wasn't in for leading his people.

There's a fan theory going around that originally S3 was basically Din and Bo restoring Mandalore but Disney was reveling in the Grogu hype so they asked JF and DF to make Grogu a major part of S3. That why TBoBF included the 2 episodes revolving around DD and G. JF and DF were said to not be happy about this.
