@@aurum6664 I don't think Bo is refusing to accept it from him like she did from Sabine because she believes in the Dark Saber rule now. Its because she now fully understands that without winning it in combat know one will ever follow her again. Which here in lies the problem. Din has already sworn loyalty to her and will probably refuse to fight her. And Bo obviously has no wish to kill him because she saved his life twice without hesitation in a single day.

Mando was the typical damsel in distress this episode and it was refreshing to watch someone help him out. Twice! Now he owes her two lives. 😂 I love these episodes so much! When din made comment on her father's death " this is the way " she didn't hate it ..she actually respected him coz she know din respected her father by saying that and secondly grogu is afraid somehow this time coz he had a vision about din ..coz when jedi meditates focusing on force they get future visions of seeing a big mindbending event basically they see someone they love will fall in danger .. the show will let us see what it is in the future and also the Darksaber is lite in hands of bo katan coz she doesn't doubt herself and she knows what to do while using the sword ... din doesn't believe in himself coz I think he removed his helmet and he worries about grogu currently he doesn't know what to do with that sword thats why he can't handle it properly.. and actually mythosaur thought mando as the primal mandolorian or it must've thought outsider must have entered the waters ..but after seeing the helmet it didn't attack .. that helmet is the only thing which kept them alive ...and also we need to see that bo katan without her will she cleansed herself as well.. and saw the truth .. after this episode we need to see if she tells him about mythosaur or not

Actually, it’s easier for Grogu to use the Force on living creatures than on metal. Yoda was able to lift metal items (but he was 900 years old and had been intensely training). Anakin actually could have been much stronger with the Force had he not been mostly machine as Vader. So, Grogu tried on the metal cage, but it’s slightly different for him than with a living creature. 18:09

The first episode was side quests galore, while this episode was purely main plot ! I loved it, this season doesn't waste too much time to delve deep into it. If the Mythosaur appeared in just episode 2, you can be sure it's gonna come back again later in the season. Also, am I the only one who got some severe Metroid vibes from this episode ? The coming to Mandalorian looked a lot like the rainy arrival to Brinstar in Super Metroid, going into dark caves, being attacked by space pirates, and even a cybertarantula that looks and moves a EMMI droid in Metroid Dread, followed by an underwater encounter with the Mythosaur, a massive aquatic beast, like in Super Metroid's Maridia... Looks like the director of this episode (Rachel Morrison, DP from Black Panther, btw, which explains why this episode looks particularly cinematic) is a big fan of the Metroid franchise. Btw, what happened to Achara and Braw ? Don't they get their own reactions ? Are they being punished or what ^^ ?

11:34- You can't disregard the fact that Bo-Katan was able to wield the Darksaber with one hand while Din Djarin had difficulties with it and he was using two hands at the time. So it may not just be winning it in combat to give you the right to wield the Darksaber but rather you have to be strong in your beliefs and are willing to fight for and rule Mandalore. This is something Bo-Katan has that Din doesn't because of her history and lineage, while in his case he doesn't want to rule Mandalore.

@@Mertaranta Even if it wasn't for training Bo would still be able to wield it because as much as I don't agree with the Armorer she did make a point when explaining to Din on why he finds the Darksaber to be heavy. According to her Din's mind is clouded causing him to fight the blade resulting in the "heavy blade", whereas Bo-Katan was more focused in her goals and when Sabine gave her the Darksaber it wasn't heavy for her.

And is much more effectively depicted than in the prequels or sequels. It only rivals the OT but it's done with today's technology so it may beat it.

Jaby should check Emergency Awesome's video on this episode -he gave an explanation why Mando still have a hard time holding the darksaber. Similarly, in Rebels, when Sabine had to learn to use the saber - there is resistance in the sword if the wielder's mindset is not right - kind of like Jedi zen thing... Not an expert - so, I am sure there are others who has better way of explaining the struggle Mando has.

The Dark Saber is not the family sword to Bo Katan. It was created by the founder of House Vizsla so if anyone has an ancestral claim to the sword it’s Paz Vizsla who fought Din for it in Book of Boba

ALL HAIL BO-KATAN, THE TRUE QUEEN OF MANDALORE!!!! Honestly she has both earned and *DESERVES* the Darksaber. Besides Moff Gideon she is the only character (in live action so far) that can wield that blade effortlessly. And she has respect for the creed while also seeing that the creed needs to be updated or even renewed. Also while Din Djarin is absolutely faithful to the creed he does not want to be its leader, which is why the creed needs to change so that when he gives her the Darksaber every Mandalorian in the galaxy will recognize her as the true ruler of their people. And I never thought I would actually get to see the Mythosaur in Star Wars, now I can see why the Mandalorians made its skull their sigil. Also Grogu was somehow equal as cool as he was insanely adorable in this episode, especially with those ridiculously cute baby noises.😊

I don't agree with that winning the Dark Saber thing. Sabine Wren passed the Dark Saber to Bo-Katan in front off all the Clans of Mandalor and with it she ruled for a time. It got left behind during he Siege and was recovered by Moff Gideon. Gideon didn't win it in a duel against Bo-Katan. So why can't Din just pass it again to Bo-Katan similar to what Sabine did in Rebels (Heores of Mandalor).

When Bo Katan watches Din Djarin repeat his oath, I thought she might have maybe already begun thinking about starting her crusade again. I think Moff Gideon did not win the darksaber in a fair fight. I think he probably threatened to keep bombing the planet unless they yielded. And part of the deal is that they give up the darksaber. But they still haven't explained why Bo-Katan has to win back the saber in combat because we know the sword had been passed before without any fighting. Something must have changed. Or transfer between family members or royal family can be done, but if it got to the hands of outsiders, it has to be won back?

At the end of season 2, they explained that what was important was the story. It's not about following the rules, or The Way. It's about a story narrative that proves that destiny has chosen Bo-Katan to rule. That's why she couldn't just take the Darksaber from Din, and that's why she couldn't simply challenge Din to a duel (which, from what we see, she probably could have won). No, Bo-Katan needed to win the Darksaber _from Moff Gideon_ ... and the effer knew it. So it's entirely possible Gideon purposefully went after Din just to eff her, just in case he lost. As it went down, it was a disaster for Bo-Katan. Far from showing that destiny had chosen Bo-Katan, it showed the opposite. And her forces melted away. This season 3 episode makes the Bo-Katan's thinking more explicit. Bo-Katan didn't see her baptism as a spiritual experience. For her, it was just political theater ... just a show for the people. And that's what her scheme to defeat Moff Gideon and reclaim the Darksaber was. It wasn't that she was a deep believer in the rules of succession. For her, it was political theater. High stakes political theater, to be sure, but still just a means to a political end.

the reason i feel like grogu couldnt use the force successfully in this episode is that his connection to Din djarin. there is a reason younglings are taken away from their family so that they dont get attached. seeing Din djarin in pain grogu couldnt connect to the force properly and concentrate. thats why jedi forbade attachment. to access the force to its full potential. whenever grogu has used the force other times Din djarin was at peril but never so weak and incapacitated. he knew as long as his dad was safe he could do anything but as soon as Din was in this real bad condition his connection to the force weakened
