While the “whistling birds” were a touch convenient, I think the weight of that scene is the Mandalorian using these priceless tools in a situation where the child might have been harmed. @joforgefe124 жыл бұрын
It was written so that we all saw that fancy weapon in action, so it could have been written different. Is not about what else he could have done in the same situation. Is about what other situations could have been written so that he didn´t need to use that. I was too soon for the whistling birds. In my opinion it should have been saved for a tougher (boss-like maybe) moment and therefore a much better scene could've been made. I have spoken
@Dante-mw2ez4 жыл бұрын
Jorge Moya i disagree, I think the idea that a shootout with the unprotected baby beat would likely end in death was the perfect time to use the fancy new weapon and pay the baby back for saving his life. Mandos have life debts in their codes and I felt like that was visually awesome and fits with their themes. Also what’s a few whistling birds when you’re so good at what you do? Isn’t the point of them to be used in life or death situations?
@joforgefe124 жыл бұрын
@@Dante-mw2ez James Carey ok ok keeping our different opinions to the side (if it was cool or not, adequate or not to use the birds) i want to point out something. Many fans are explaining things by their own and i think we should know better. I know its easy to get carried away with such a good series but when someone says " oh he was trying to protect the baby" or "he payed the debt of baby life savior" we have to recognize that thats us making conclusions. Because cinema is a language in itself and if story goes one way they use the camera to show stuff and be clear about it. So if the mandalorian was truly trying to keep baby yoda out of harm when using the birds we would have had a clear close-up at the mandalorian's face (helmet) and then at baby yoda as if he was actually thinking of him while using the birds and we didn't sooooo.... Face it! You people are inventing stuff and i have spoken and there is nowhere around it! :v
@Dante-mw2ez4 жыл бұрын
Jorge Moya Oh I agree, what I said was absolutely speculation, but it makes sense. Also I think the director is a newbie and she probably isn’t at that point yet to where close ups convey her point. The fact he put the baby down while kneeling over him before launching whistling rape missiles kind of told me he didn’t want to risk the baby. Realistically it’s probably just that it looked cool, and I’m ok with that. I agree that everyone still having fobs was... word but not too bad.

Normally, we'd probably be willing to just wait a bit but Disney+ doesn't even have a release date for Poland, even though both this show and the newest TCW season are available fully dubbed into Polish... But once we're done, we're probably going to discontinue. Most of the other shows and classic animations are only available in English and sometimes Spanish-and when you try to sell a service whose primary content is targeted at kids, it usually pays to have it localized (hell, even I would struggle going through any of the childhood classics in English, my nostalgia's tuned to Polish).

This show feels like it's written for children. I like it, but in terms of writing and literary creativity, the movies are much more technically impressive. @TheFallofTheEleventh4 жыл бұрын
Someguy029 I sincerely hope your joking. While you’re entitled to your opinion and I respect that, breaking it down factually, this show is far more impressive and in line with what Star Wars is than the new movies have been. The new movies literally have no over arching plot. No character development. Nothing interesting and the story pace of a dead snail. Whereas this show in 3 episodes has a protagonist that is instantly more likeable than ANY of the new characters from the movies. The storyline with him and baby Yoda is instantly more interesting than Rey and Kylo’s Force fucking...... If you consider this a ‘children’s show’ then it’s some of the best quality I’ve seen from a children’s show. I just find it interesting and somewhat suspicious that someone could genuinely think the Disney Star Wars movies are more interesting than this.

also he was surrounded by all sides. I mean what does it take the kill the fucking guy then? Beskar armor would then literally become plot armor and remove all tension from action scenes.

Its chekhov's gun. If you present it in the first act, then you had better use it in the second act. Classic film making
@felipels874 жыл бұрын
I think the main reason the scene "used" the whistling birds was to show that he REALLY started to care about the baby yodas. These things are supposed to be very expensive and used only as a last resort, so he using them in a not so demanding situation shows that he values more the baby than money. That's a big thing for Bounty Hunter! But I do agree with Alex when he says that Mando should have used the rest of them on the Guild's fight.

I think Alex needs to chill a bit, yeah he probably didnt HAVE to use the whistling birds, but 1. It was a brand new toy he had to play with and he may have wanted to test it’s effectiveness. 2. Alex made the claim that he could have easily killed the 4 stormtroopers because he had just killed 5-6 without even batting an eye, yes that’s true but they had him surrounded and guns drawn. All the other troopers were more or less taken by surprise.Perhaps he just didnt want to take the chance of baby yoda getting killed and wanted to eliminate all the troopers at the same exact time so they didnt get a chance to fire, yeah his armor probably would have kept him safe but baby yoda is vulnerable and is the ultimate objective of the troopers. Also with the trackers, we dont really know how they function, yeah you get one for a contract and it tells you where the mark is. But who is to say contracts cant be uploaded to them wirelessly and perhaps the hunters keep one or two on them. Isnt it POSSIBLE that the second someone realized mando stole baby yoda back that the guildmaster or whoever could have sent out a mass contract wirelessly?
