They don't necessarily need to be fighters, and so when Fennec says "the mods are combing the streets, he won't get away" I thought that was dope as hell. Boba has a network of informants on the streets of Moss Espa? Hell yeah! But other than that, Boba being an idiot the whole series is a turn off. I think if he had said anything like that, it'd probably have been accepted by some at least. But the viewer shouldn't have to create their own rationalization of why something happened, and definitely can't blame others for not sharing in the same rationalization. For me, problem is less that he didn't remember where the armor was, but that he assumed it was inside it rather than looking all around the outside, back at the Tusken camp, and basically everywhere between those points before going this route. This is 5 years later so not currently concussed nor exhausted. No rational person would think "oh, I must've taken the armor off inside and left it there and climbed out without any weapons or protection."

I'm very confused. Because essentially what they had with Boba, is a blank slate. They could have done ANYTHING with him. And they do...this. And people can't use the excuse of "he's at half health" because we've seen what characters in Star Wars can do at like 25% health. The reason why the Mandalorian was incredible, was because of the writing. They made sure to keep it contained, yet add in details that made you remember it's part of a bigger world. They were able to make Din Djarin a badass with *_good characterization_* so he isn't just badass and that's all there is to his character in like 2 episodes. The moment he decides not to kill the child bam I was hooked on his characterization. Hell EVEN IF HE DID kill the child at some point I'd STILL be invested I'd be like "WHOA WHOA WHOA what caused his morals to do a 180?" Here it's just....I have no idea. Now it makes me worried for Ahsoka. If they butcher that character it would mean the end of several people's careers. You can have an S Tier cast and directors, and crew BUT IF THE WRITING ISN'T SOLID then why bother. Even the best directors can only work with what they have.

Fun fact, Napoleon forced other factions into allying with him only to find that their alliance was paper thin and they were eager to turn on him the moment they had a chance. Trying to intimidate the other crime lords into fighting for Boba Fett would probably not have worked.

I hope this is just Boba Fett sandbagging everyone to think he's weak, then when the Pikes come to try and him: WHAM!! BADASS BOBA MURDERING EVERYONE!!! Like this is a strategy of his. Make everyone think he's too nice, he's too weak and suddenly someone pushes him to far. Or he's just not used to being nicer and less violent. He doesn't quit know how to rule with respect and he's trying to show everyone (who are so used to cruelty that they don't know how to respond) that you can rule with it. Also they just mention the model of the ship, they avoid the name. The also seem to not mention the name in any other shows or movies.
@fergalofar2 жыл бұрын
I hope your right, but i feel this is wishful thinking and you could be saying the same thing by the end of the season, maybe next season ..... The arc of this season is weird, the progression is slow. The flashbacks are the best bits IMO, for atmosphere and we kinda know where they are going. As we get closer to or into the present its gets progressively worse, Boba makes dumber moves and behaves more neutered. Its not a show I will watch immediately again, like the madalorian, or likely ever again.
@kklloopp902 жыл бұрын
@@fergalofar I'm just hoping Ming-na Wen was telling the truth about the last three episodes and about how the last episode is supposed to make you rethink the whole series. It would be pretty cool if that was not just hype but actually true. It would also be kinda dumb for the slow build up, but if it's all worth it in the end, then I'll be happy. I just want something good with Boba Fett. After disney canceled Star Wars 1313 and the rumored Boba Fett spinoff, I just want a solid win for the character. I'm sick of liking someone who was only good in the novels and comics.

Im just gonna say this and dip out... Boba Fett is not a bounty hunter or enforcer anymore. Stop expecting him to be. He cant just shoot everybody who says no to him in the face. As the Hutts say, its bad for business. Fennec is a badass because she's Boba's enforcer.

That's all fine and good but how can he be gunning down people in the mandalorian and yet be at half health there, then here be written as entirely incompetent? THAT is the issue people have. Character inconsistency.
@dogred4312 жыл бұрын
Boba was never supposed to be a hero or a nice guy. His ship was called Slave 1 because he was not a nice guy. They've made a major mistake assuming fans wouldn't watch a show where the lead character was a bad guy. Literally all the top rated premium shows of the last 15 years have been about an anti-hero. The mis-step here is unreal. Calling it now, the series will end with Boba surviving but handing his armour on to someone else. Most likely his other clone.
@vegashawk40662 жыл бұрын
This is more Bobby Fett then Boba Fett. They've taken away everything that made him a cool bad ass bounty hunter and turned him into a soft, dumb, character. As intimidating as a Gonk Droid.

Personally, I liked this episode. Though, I would’ve liked to have seen Boba do more. I did think Boba would’ve used his ship to shoot the Sarlacc, like what happened in a Legends comic, then go down and look for his armor. I’m kind of hoping something traumatic will happen, or someone will humiliate Boba enough to where he’s like: “You’re no good to me dead”. “But after what you’ve done, I can make an exception.” Then proceeds to shoot him. Maybe something will happen that causes the ruthless killer in him to come out.

it's so fucking stupid he 1) got his ship grabbed by sarlacc and 2) think his armor was in the sarlacc Well fkn duh! You would never have gotten out without the armor. So it had to be lost AFTER you dug your way out So, did the sarlacc extend it's tentacles 10x and slowly undressed and ate your armor? Or the tusken people stripped you and somehow tossed the armor into the pit? someone stole it. Jawas most likely. You'd seen them have stripped the wreckage of Jabbas ship and can draw that conclusion. but nooo run down the hole that you would never want to enter again. Wtf. First you face plant it with a flashlight looking for your armor in case the sarlacc has it in it's beak or somehting (Idfk this is stupid)

So you guys complain about the mod gang, I get that, I hated them aswell, but then you complain that they’re not in this episode?! Genuinely, what do you guys want? You complain that he doesn’t push the button, he’s piloting the ship while trying to stop it from being taken by the sarlacc, he’s not got multiple arms. If fennec was piloting the ship you’d hate it more, what do you want? You then cal the sarlacc a glory hole and that it’s dumb, so by extension you didn’t like rotj. You rated Hawkeye higher than this, you even didn’t like the bit when he killed the biker gang ffs. You’ve just listened to Alex’s inaccurate hyper critical rhetoric. Be objective and don’t just shit on things for the sake of it.
@Bountyhuntercantina72 жыл бұрын
Boba is trying to go for the honorable path in a way cuz in the original trilogy he was not just a badass his character was just a regular bounty hunter with cool armor, weapons, etc. But during ROTJ when he fell into the sarlacc he believe that Jabba basically got him killed by being his personally bounty hunter(when he said "I'm tired of working for idiots who are trying to get me killed"). So I think this is a good devlopment to the character cuz he is a change man doing his new way to rise to the top as the new crime boss.

I'm really liking the show so far except for the mod chase scene. I feel like they're building Boba up to be a Don Corleone/scarface leader so he can't go in blasting every one like the dinner scene I feel like he's feeling out where these "allies" truly stand before he comes in and makes his real power play. I think most people were expecting the expendables when we're getting something more in line with the godfather.
