A great craftmanship and quality! I was personally at Minosaka 2023 in the summer and got introduced into the way of making these famous Iaitos. It was an amazing and interesting experience to see how these High Quality Swords were made. I ordered at that day my own customized Iaito and got it two months later. Everything worked fine with the shipping and when I finally held my Custom Iatio in my hands I was very touched and felt myself privilleged to be able to posses such an incredible beautiful work made in Gifu/Japan by such great people! Thank you so much for all of your effort and customer service. Minosaka will be on my next travell to Japan for sure and I wish you all the best! This video is absolutely wonderful made! A great documentation! OSS!!!

They're made of a Zink/Aluminum alloy. Made un-sharpened for sword practitioners. An iaito is an un-sharpened blade, where as a shinken is fully functional sharpened blade made for cutting. As a Toyama Ryu practitioner, we use both types. An Iaito for practice and the shinken for cutting tatami mats.

What are they casted with casting lines are clearly there

even if decorative swords are as beautiful as any 🇯🇵 katana. For me, the most sublime sword of all time. He is exactly what they call him. The soul of a Samurai (Japinese). It has everything that no other melee weapons have. It is devastatingly effective and beautiful. And the fight pattern is like a ballet. no other type of fencing amazes me as much as katana fighting. A sword and a kimono created just for you, friends. Perfect harmony of heart, body and spirit

How was the guy straightening the sword with a hammer on a cold blade?
@Glockenstein08694 ай бұрын
Because these are cast steel swords (not forged) for practice. They would be too brittle to actually use as a real sword. Basically, molten metal is poured into a mold in the rough shape of a sword. So it is inferior to a forged sword. Nevetheless, it retains all the other characteristics desired in a sword except strength.

Hello, I have some questions, if I can answer I am grateful. What is the type of steel? What is the weight of the blade once it is ready? What is the size of the gleaning? What is the size of the blade? What is the thickness of the blade ?What is the width of the blade? What is the sharpening width of the blade? What is the total fulfillment of the sword? What is the total weight of the sword with handle or hilt? I am grateful in advance. I want to learn. Rio de Janeiro. Brazil.
@410cultivarАй бұрын
These are Iaito. Not steel blades, a blend of aluminum, zinc, copper, nickel. Sizes are custom. They are weighted in 3 styles. Lightweight(extra light). Avg,(slightly lighter than real), and heavyweight(almost exactly to real blades) the width varrys off the weight you pick I think

@@FloridaMan1976 Exactly, read the description yourself! There is nothing in there that says that these are made from Aluminum. Even in EU I can buy and ship unsharpened steel swords. "Swords" made from Aluminum must be uniquely Japanese thing because they need licenses and permissions to own a sharp stick or a set of balls. Here in US I don't need any permissions, I can buy dull swords/knives/machetes or sharp as I please. I can order them online and have them delivered tomorrow to my house, no questions asked, no permissions needed.

Guys these are probably Aluminum blades. Iaido uses soft metal blades for practice since the blades rarely touch. These are also really good for beginners since they are cheaper and not sharp. No one is swinging razor sharp swords at each other.😂

1) They are not that soft and handel light to avg blows. 2)idc how dull it is, you hit someone hard enough with an edged hunk of mass, it will break bones. 3)the tips are pointy enough to run someone through 4.masters do katas with live blades. And it's not unheread of to find out out masters don't warn thier replacement of what attack they are picking. "If you're ready you'll defend "
