The dude that pops up at 10:55, I've met several times here in korea and he's told me that Oli just acts like that for "clout" lol but tbh I always thought it was obvious, so it was always weird to me that people actually took him seriously lol. Gosh I remember Oli messing with KAACHI. I’m not a fan of KAACHI but I honestly felt so bad for them when they first started their careers. So many people were making up rumors about them, like one of the members saying that she was gonna marry Jungkook, to their fandom name being Koochi (it’s not), to the group “stealing” images from other videos when they were all just free stock footage, etc. It just really stinks that they had to go through all that just because they were non Asian girls trying to become Kpop idols

The thing with Oli London that always bothered me is that for someone who professes to love Korean culture so much his grasp of the Korean language is seemingly abysmal and that' 's something that native speakers have pointed out on other channels. I've always felt like when you have someone where it seems so nakedly obvious that all they want is some kind of attention given it to them even in negative criticism seems like playing into that person's hands. So I usealy just ignore those types of people. Still I do feel part two is probably going to be even worse than part two. I mean the most recent turn with Oli is something I feel really conflicted over but I'll say what I have to say about that when part two comes out. Still though good overview of this very eccentric individual if nothing else.

P.T. Barnum was a famous owner of a circus back in the 30's here in the U.S. But it wasn't his circus that really made him famous. It was his Side Show as they called it. In his side show he would put every kind of unusual oddity that became known about. Things like bearded ladies, super fat people, short people, black people dressed in caveman style clothes etc.. i looked into becoming an english teacher abroad as well back then and honestly it's not a requirement to know the language of the country you're teaching in. most pick it up the longer they stay there, but oftentimes english teachers move from country to country so i feel they just don't bother to know more than the bare minimum. the rules probably changed now, but i too was looking into teaching around the 2012-2013 mark. it was an asset, but not a requirement. they have someone give you schedules and i believe they have an interpreter there as well in-class (i could be wrong about this). not justifying anything that oli's done, just at the 5:53 mark you said you were surprised he could be an english teacher despite not knowing korean. just wanted to clarify that! i'll edit this as i watch the video. :) i had never cringed so hard listening to those clips of "perfection" holy god i couldn't even look at the screen. i live alone, i am alone, headset on, and i still blushed in embarrassment and covered my eyes and turned down my headset for fear a neighbour will hear it looooooooooool. i couldn't help but focus on your eyeliner most of the video lol. very pretty. suits you well!

it's actually so terrifying knowing there are people out there who would risk their health to undergo 50 unnecessary plastic surgergies just to get a little bit of "fame" and "popularity". just makes you realise how messed up some people's priorities are. while there are a bunch of people suffering from birth defects, massiv health problems and other life threatening things, who would LOVE to just have a normal face or being able to live a normal life, these people (oli london, frenchie etc) are risking their health, life and reputation just so people recognise them, even if it's bad recognition. they're so ungrateful with the body and life they were given and for what? some internet fame/hate? some money that they spent on more surgeries and ugly clothes? really a shame...

I've watched this video and I knew only you, dear Ploopy and ofcourse BTS. First I would like to say, what a great video you made! You're doing SO great... You should be having a job on tv as a Show-News presenter. First I want to say that I’ve enjoyed watching your Kpop dance videos. Next this is going to be a long comment. I’ve been a Kpop fan since 2009, when I was 23 so I’m not that much older than Oli myself. I remember first hearing about him in 2018/2019 on the Hooked on the Look documentary where he called himself a “Jimin superfan” One of the things he said was “when I was 18 I got my first nose job because I was dissatisfied with it”. Honestly I thought he looked fine even a little cute My first thought was okay. people get plastic surgery, whatever. The point is He was getting surgical procedures way before BTS was big in the West. The point I’m making is that even back then he was getting addicted to plastic surgery, which I still think he is Another aspect he’s addicted to is attention. We know that. What’s interesting is before all this Jimin superfan stuff his social media like Instagram was totally different. It seemed like he liked to travel to different places and take pictures like a vlogger. I wish he would of stayed that way because he took some good pictures about the places he went but he deleted them when he began with “ I want to look like Jimin I am Jimin” drama The bigger that Jimin got, the more outrageous he became for attention. His story got him a couple of trips for documentaries in South Korea. One time he did documentary where he went to the old restaurant that BTS went to in their trainee days, the owner of the restaurant seemed like a very lovely woman, and she took time out of her busy schedule to come over and talk to Oli, and he was so cringey I think he said things like “I sat where Jimin sat, I can feel Jimin”. I felt such second hand embarrassment by especially being in his late twenties at time. I’d of wanted to go to that restaurant, meet the lovely owner, taste her food, and hear all the stories she had to tell but he was embarrassing. He was able to get on a fairly well known Kpop radio show and the host I think her name is Asaka? Made sure to say “You reached out to us first”. His ex friend Frenchy Morgan even said that Oli writes his own press releases and e-mails them to KZbinrs. I’m sitting here thinking to myself out of all the genuine western Kpop reactors you choose him to go on your show? I know it wasn’t the host’s fault but the producers could of dug into his background at that time and politely declined.Even though his direction of attention has changed I believe he still does that in an effort to gain more attention. As far as Kacchi is concerned I remember there was a channel 4 documentary about their debut which he somehow managed to show up in but I always thought that him being their publicist was false. I think their manager Monica said that. For some reason Oli made a video which he deleted which trashed Monica I don’t know why. It seems like he loves to stir up drama as well. It seemed like he got all this help from Monica as far as being in Korea, and being on these documentaries and all of a sudden not only does he trash her but says in that now deleted video “that Koreans were hard to work with” He’s also done that same pattern with Korean KZbinrs who dare to push back and criticize what he’s doing and he always seem to make himself the victim. He still does that. I know one of the members Coco was in one of Oli’s “Kpop” videos which when someone asked her why she was in it? She said at first she didn’t even know who he was. I think Oli knows how to manipulate different social media platforms to generate as much attention as he can. On Twitter his posts reflect his newest persona to generate a new audience. KZbin is kinda the same with a sprinkling of Kpop. I’m not on Tik Tok but I’ve heard from others that he still says he’s Korean, talks about Jimin ect and it’s probably because Tik Tok caters to a younger audience It seems like he craves social media attention so much he grasps on to anything trending or a hot topic. Be as controversial as possible to get people talking. While it seems like a good strategy business wise. I can’t help but question what is it doing to his identity off social media? As much as his behavior has made me mad and continues to do so I can’t help but feel like their are some underlying issues with him that need to be addressed outside social media but are not and that’s sad to me. I’ve always wondered what his family thinks about all of this ? Does he have anyone who watches all of this and talks to him about all of this I mean with all sincerity I truly hope he one day wakes up from this, takes a break from social media. Gets real love and care into finding and loving who he really is before all of this swallows him whole.
