Sandler refusing to bad mouth Lorne Michaels is class. One thing about Sandler is that he seems like a nice guy. I was watching this clip from actors on actors or something and Brad Pitt was interviewing him and he told this story about when Sandler was at NYU and his acting professor or something took him out for a beer and told him he shouldn't act because he was horrible at it. Years later Sandler's in a bar with friends and sees his professor and he goes and introduces his friends to his old professor and says, "This is the only professor to ever buy me a beer." Many people would have taken the chance to slam Michaels and he didn't. That's class.

Julia is very funny and great presence on TV. However, her journey up to the top at Seinfeld is rarely talked about. She is a literal billionaire heiress that had no need to ever work. Which I envy, I wish I had that opportunity to do whatever art project I wanted with a significant safety net. I don't fault her for that. And to her credit, she has never pretended to be otherwise, though, she has actively tried to make sure her family financies were not published. I think she's great, love her, though she is one of those people who is completely oblivious to the struggles of the people around her. She has made comments that I think are detrimental to working people's struggles which are disheartening. (it, "You just have to go for it." and "If it's your passion, just dedicate all your time to it.") Those are things that sound nice, and may be true to some degree, but when you have responsibilities and people depending on you, it's horrible advice. Go for your dreams, but make very thought out decisions so others that depend on you don't suffer because the likelihood is you will not make it. For every "success story" there are a hundred stories of failure.

You forgot Jim Breuer and I'll tell you why he should have been included because he had such a tough time on the show that despite having some successful sketches, some of his ideas did not make it through. Therefore it was a mutual decision for him to leave. He has said he didn't have fun on there and didn't want to stay. They were about to add new people including Jimmy Fallon and Amy Poehler so it was the right time for him to go. He only lasted three seasons. Also missing was Chris Elliott who was part of the ill fated 94-95 season. Both him and others including Jay Mohr and Janine Garofalo left SNL after brief stints on the program. The worst one that season was Morwina Banks who didn't appear in many sketches and only was hired halfway through the season following Mike Myers decision to leave. Gilbert Gottfried was also another one that didn't make the cut in your video. He lasted the 1980 season and was fired. Similarly Charles Rocket was fired that year. And lastly for your consideration was Nancy Walls who ended up marrying Steve Carell. She was the it girl in the 1994-95 season but did not return the following season. Making people wonder where the pretty girl went. But she ended up on The Daily Show with Steve Carell where they both ended up dating and later go married.

THey are getting forced laughs. Im shocked this show is A) still on and B) because they are still on, have not done a total rebuild from the writers to the comedians. This show desperatly needs a make over and a change in direction. Its a piss poor excuse for a show these days. Sad. Because go back to its start, the show was so ahead of times. Its no longer that same show. Remember SNL only exists because of SCtv and Nation Lampoon. Without those 2, this show wouldnt of ever become a hit. Facts people.

@@ctcards2636 I agree, I haven’t watched SNL in a long time. I only tune in now on KZbin when a comedian I like does the monologue. Shane was the last person I watched

I could swear Sarah Silverman left because she couldn't stand being stalked - which was weird considering Norm spent days and nights on the bushes around her apartment and didn't see a thing! About Larry David, didn't people try to get him on hot water when he came back to host the show because of a joke basically saying he would probably still be horny in a concentration camp?

I might be in the minority but Norm was more often offensive than funny & he needed firing. I liked him better in what he did afterwards, namely, his eponymously titled show.
