Honestly kitchen cabinets can make for really good sc2 coaches. I recently started paying for coaching lessons from my kitchen cabinet - I used to main Terran, but after my coach knocked some sense into me, I now realize that playing Protoss is the best way to improve my skills. I can already feel my brain growing!

Terrans will flame you for 2 minutes, when they die to storm, while they couldnt be bothered to build ghosts or even anything other then bio...."But Protoss op A-move race, while we are micro gods and still loose...."

Personally I am more confused about the Terran being behind in like 20 workers the whole game and still be on equal footing for over 10 minutes, despite equal army exchanges all the time

That is because PvT is completely broken and was for quite a while, where the terran can just build 3 tanks and win most of the time while the toss has to play 5d chess while juggling to survive and hope the terran is too lazy to ever build ghost

If the game is played properly Terran will be behind in workers until you start looking to max, and the gap is filled in by MULEs. A 20 worker difference against Terran is more like a 10 worker difference.

I play Terran (low diamond 3100) and I see some errors that starcream made, and some other that I do to frequently, first of all, he managed to make some damage on the early game (I can't do that) but that vanished when he forgot to make scvs for like 3 minutes, and forgot the ad-ons on the barracks. I don't blame him for the useless scan, because that shadow is really anoying and distracting in this map, however I do blame him for the two turrets he made, I dont understand if he wanted to denied vision or denied a prisma incursion. Regarding the ghost, it's obviously a key unit in the late game (I don't use them because it didn't even get to that stage), but a master should use it Aside from that, some errors in micro, some misclick, nothing out of the ordinary, but a huge error was the two extractor on the natural, at some point he was floating gas and laking mineral because of this. unlike the other races, Terrans needs a lot of attention at the base, since each building needs an SCV to build, and then you have to send it to do something else, besides moving buildings with the ad-ons, I think other races are more simple in that regard, and sometimes you feel that you don't know where to put your attention.

You literally just shift-click a building queue outside of the early game if you can't manage your macro. Hell, unless you're relatively high-level, just queue up multiple buildings anyways. You aren't going to spend your money most likely perfectly. It's like building a macro-hatch for zerg. Yeah, it's less inefficient, but you suck and I suck and we all suck so just build the damn thing if you can't spend your money. For some reason, people (especially Terrans) think that they're better off being inefficient trying to macro like Maru than just biting the bullet and admitting they suck and need to make some compromises.

My favorite accidental way to watch your IMBA videos is to start them, stop watching, the follow back up to finish them later that day or even in a few days. More times than not, I come back thinking, wow, that is really IMBA, and it turns out to be the person complaining, not what they are complaining about. If you jump into this video half way, more than likely you will think the Protoss is the one complaining, because Terran is so far ahead with his MMM ball, and yet, he still loses in the end.

I feel like the #1 reason this guy lost was lack of worker production costing him money, which cost him units being in his army, which lost him the game, Starcraft 2 Butterfly effect. It's sad to see that many Diamond/Master/GM don't even have the basic hotkey mechanics down. F2? one hotkey army? no location hotkeys? all noob stuff. As Zerg, I'm using; F1-F5 locations, 1-3 Army, 4-8 Macro, that's a good setup.

The question is then, are you higher in MMR than 4000. If not, you are probably focusing too much on the wrong things :D Dont get me wrong, i also use locations (just a few) and hotkeys (a few as well), but still just around 3800 on asia. (Because i just cant macro properly in the midgame, always floating too much).

​@@ledrash6079 I focused hard on mechanics early, even practiced with easy AI just to perfect them, I see it as the first step, even for low level players, I don't focus too much on MMR, I like trying all the strategies even the crazy ones, highest I got was 4800MMR but I'm more comfortable at 4500MMR.

That's because you don't know all the skills that you're lacking. It's easy to say that because you don't have a concept of what it's like and how many things these players did right that you are doing wrong. Very likely you would be like gold league and it would take over a thousand games to get to master.

@Harstem Good Luck against Bly! Don't forget to check the minimap more often, especially in big fights. Oracles --> Stasis Wards!... Against Reynor you also would have had an easier time (talking about your 3rd and 4th) --> Stasis Wards. --> Stasis Wards close to your Nexus or in your mineral line. Even a Stasis Wards behind your back on your last push would have been a major support. Are glaived Adepts better for Runbys later on than Chargelots? And PLEASE if you ever find yourself in a situation like the one in the 5th game against Reynor... Tech faster into Templar Archives --> Storm. This was a major blunder!

4000 mmr is diamond and as you can see the protoss also had no build order, no worker production, no upgrades and poor micro. The skill of these players did look quite even as they had many of the same weaknesses. In the end the protoss won due to the one thing that they're better at, which is caster usage.
