With some of my past Mario kart videos, I underestimated the amount of research I needed to do. With that being said, we went all out in this video and I made extra sure that I'm displaying 99.9% accurate information as opposed to 90% or whatever.... Hey dude! Really well put together video! It's really crazy what the mk64 community has discovered in the past few years. If it weren't for these insane shortcuts, I probably wouldn't have even thought of playing mk64 for high ranks. Also, that double half clip on LR looks really intresting, maybe I could take a look and see what I could do with it... 👀

@@kayden2119 Mario Kart literally is known for its enjoyment on the broken shortcuts lol. Look at MKw for example.

@@kayden2119 Because people are still determined to break it. The more robust against unintended shortcuts a game seems, the higher the temptation to try and curbstomp Nintendo's efforts. My prediction is some sort of Clock Corruption glitch that eliminates pace locks (but in terms of complexity literally compares to the likes of BotW WMC). This will probably comfort you, as such a thing will most definitely not affect online play.

One would really think people are eventually gonna learn that, as long as no frame-speed input chaining is involved, "TAS only" literally isn't a thing, but oh well. Update: Turns out there *is* frame-speed input chaining involved.

One thing that makes some shortcuts in here TAS-only are because of hitting two directions a frame apart (left then right on the stick) to achieve certain strats, which is impossible for a human to switch directions on a stick in .03 seconds
