Just today the movie was played on my local cinema, I went with 8 friends and we shat and pissed. I was pointing at the screen every 2 minutes because i recognized almost every easter egg or reference. Also, i think the yoshi scene at the end of the credits its sort of a reference to sm64 where at the end when you get 120 stars you can have a dialog with yoshi

This was not a movie for the critics, this is a movie for the fans and if the fans love it then I say " jog on " to the critics. Honestly, I view the Super Mario Bros Movie as a celebration of Mario and how far he has come over the last 42 years. Mario is the undisputed face of the Video Gaming Industry.

4:30: I think that was the point: Cranky Kong is the type of guy who would think the script he was given doesn't have much meat; he'd be like "Who writes this stuff? Back in my day, we didn't need dialogue to tell a story; we had film projectors and a Pie-ana!"

Here are some of my replacement lines for: "Looks like he ate the wrong mushroom" 1. "Not so big anymore, Mr. Tough Guy" 2. "Performance anxiety is a real thing, Princess" 3. "DK, Jungle Beat that shrimp!"
@Real_temmie_undertalo Жыл бұрын
First and Second stand out, but adding dialogue there was just not good... I liked the funny "wrong mushroom" joke because it's quite nice for kids to just laugh at, but adding any dialogue there that's not a gasp from peach/toad is a bit unnecesary, regardless of what the line might be...

I think people were being way too harsh on chris pratt leading up to the film. His voice acting work so far has been solid and based on the cast it was clear the directors werent going for a traditional cast
@LordTylerBluGunderson Жыл бұрын
Exactly. I always had faith in Chris Pratt and I exactly knew what the writers were going 4 in this movie the moment Chris Pratt was casted. They were going 4 a Brooklyn accent Mario and Luigi. The hate Chris Pratt got leading up 2 this movie was absolutely pathetic and uncalled for.

@@LindseyLouWho I always liked Illumination movies, but this movie was on a whole other level. Fantastic movie from start to finish. I don’t really recall the gag on the radio.
