There is something about when you pause and allow the guest to be emotional. What would normally be an uncomfortable moment that is easily filled with words to help avoid that awkwardness that can come with people being vulnerable. It's so effective how you allow them that space. That in itself is a gem.

This was it. This was the podcast that made me do it. I subscribed. I’ve listened to many, many of your podcasts before and have always enjoyed you as a host as well as the wonderful guests you’ve had. The way you ask questions and allow space for your guests to open up and share their stories is truly a remarkable craft. Not every host does this. And this is what makes your interviews so unique. It is not you-centered. The big ideas, the small nuances, the complex wrestling about life dynamics… this episode was perfect. So many nuggets of wisdom applicable to life unfolding. Congrats on a phenomenal episode!

You've literally transformed the learning process because now, somethings one would take decades to learn, from the world's leading professionals, you have bite sized it and it's really impactful. Just makes me want to work for Nike. Connecting how Barcelona play football and connecting that into how a business is some serious business behaviour. Managers across all business need to listen to this episode and understand that happy staff do happier work. When my son was young I wanted a wall in his room for him to just draw on yet my wife said no, it makes you think about blocking a child's imagination and not letting him express himself at a younger age. He's very artistic now yet it his chat just reminded me of when he had the frame and what it led on to in his life as an adult. Line that I'll take amongst many is: see what others see... Find what others don't! 💎 Thank you

Interesting interview. Greg's success can be also attributed to his loving adoptive family, and I hope that his able to overcome the challenges he has faced with them. I am mixed heritage North African/UK and faced comments around my name and cultural background growing up, including racist language even though I am not black. I fell out with my mum over Brexit, because it felt like a rejection of who I was and the value my dad, an immigrant, had brought to this country. I was brought up not to see colour, for me it was a positive thing as I believed I was equal to everyone else. It allows me to treat people with equal respect and that I should not be treated less because of my background. It's strange to hear it being talked about negatively, but it is good to learn about other people's experiences, which is why this podcast is so valuable.

Right around 1 hour and 13 minutes in Greg has a vulnerable moment. It stopped me dead in the middle of what I was doing. You don't often hear a man sound so beautiful, and open and honest. @@TheDiaryOfACEO I think I came back to the comment after watching yet it’s cool to go again so I’ll put the main take away points that connected with me. Loving the picture frame talk and that made me reflect on my own live and how I wanted my son to have a wall in his room yet my wife said no.. he’s still very creative yet it made me think how lucky his was to have that freedom which helped him use it later on in life. Nike sounds like the type of brand I’d like to work in because of how he spoke and what team really meant, using Barcelona is playing system for example in the workplace..that was really good and management should take note. Love that he got to connect with his mother, very heartfelt moment 🙌🏾❤️ they say you only get one mother… loads of other gems also.. great listen. Thank you, Richard
