@jeymz361 I'm not a big fan of religions, specially the corporate ones, but people like Malcolm X or Gandhi can teach us all a lot about achieving a huge spiritual level and to try to embrace this lame humanity of ours (at least those willing to be embraced). Cedric used to be against religions, if he changed his mind about it must been cause he needed something new in his life, something he might consider better. I hope he is really happy with his choice.

Mars Volta has lost it. Throwing out everything you built to start from scratch isn't the best way to go about this. If they want to start from scratch, end Mars Volta and start a new project. Because the new album sounds like it's their first ever attempt at making an album and it comes off very bad. Comparing it to their old stuff is like night and day. Talent to disaster. I love TMV, but this new album is crap. Do what you naturally enjoy, why are they limiting themselves like this? It's sad.

@Aberinkulas If you'd know a thing or two about marketing and promoting is that the band hardly has a say in how or when to advertise their shit. Omar and Cedric could care less about this aspect of the album process and it shows.. This could've been one huge Q & A but, the promoters insisted in cutting each question, making them separate videos, and milking it one step further by stating that fans will have a chance to get their questions answered. They obviously failed with all the hate lol

My fan question: What is the thing you wish most you could tell your own fanbase, outside of the music? Obviously, TMV fans are an alarmingly aggressive and obsessive breed, breaking into your homes to steal unreleased music and all... What was it, 400 hours of kettle whistles? So what do you wish most you could get across to us as a message from people to people, outside of the whole Warner Bros thing? [And/or: have you ever needed to get a restraining order?]

I just hope that people who criticizes Cedric for being a scientologist are not christians or are onto another religion. I pretty much dislike Scientology, but Cedric is a human being like us, right? And like all of us, we choose. Not entirely free of thought, but we still make choices. He made his. And stop trying to speculate if Omar "body language" means that he disapprove Cedric's saying. They are something more than band mates, they're friends and friends support each other beyond beliefs

This was also apparently the culprit for the lag after this album was complete till it's release. He is a self-admitted Scientologist in the sense that he believes it worked, is working for him.

I was so bored with the last three albums because they all sounded the same. Noctourniquet is the best and most interesting album to come from these guys since frances the mute. @Tonyfaster what I've seen from their interviews over the years, and I'm sure you've noticed, Omar usually doesn't really respond as adamantly as Cedric does. Omar usually has an awkwardly way of answering questions. He doesn't hesitate, rather just seems like he doesn't find a way to answer as expected. Cedric usually gives those answers and then throws a joke in there which opens up Omar. That's my take :/

@MBautonomy If you've been listening to the way Omar's solo projects have been progressing you'd see how this TMV release just basically builds up on his journey in music up until now. Quite refreshing to see them go for a more raw album thats not layered with effects. If you're really listening to the music with your ears rather than what your brain wants you to hear then you would be able to appreciate how a band can go from complex to simplicity n still make it an enjoyable experience :)
