the album is great, but theres no solos!! I miss all the solos in the old albums they were full of it! and all the other crazy style guitaring. cos every song does sound similar to eachother, the other albums the songs sounded very different, like soothsayer and L'via

i think that the new album is amazing, but i feel like you guys dont try anymore. with all the skills that you possess why do i feel like this is a lot of wasted talent wheres the sound i loved from de-loused and amputecture. still good i just expected more from people as talented as you... in absentia is the coolest thing ever though haha.

If you don't appreciate the new direction they've taken, it's not because they're not trying anymore, it's because you perceive it to be lazily done. Someone can look at a Cy Twombly piece and accuse it of being lazily done. Obviously, they're fuckin' wrong. Not to start an argument, but there's nothing wasted or lazily done about this album, you just appreciate the albums done before this more.
