Casually Comics broke down the Sue Storm Malice skin and it turns out... It ties into her growth as a character from Invisible Girl, into Invisible Woman. It was something she struggled with as Malice represents some of her fears as to how she fitted into the FF. The team thought she was the strongest member of the team but never expressed that sentiment... while Sue thought she was the weakest and held alot of feelings in until they exploded in a negative way. ... So when the Malice skin is criticised, it's not only because 'its to sexy'. Those who are disgusted by it are disgusted that a woman had to grow past her issues... because they don't want to see character growth. They just want their icons to be perfect.

For me, Sue's default skin looks better, but that comes down to my personal taste. I just don't like the spikes or the leather mask. To each their own. Just like I prefer Moon Knight's default skin as well. They keep saying they want representation, but I can guarantee that if they added a fat superhero, with all the qualities of a fat person, they get super angry and call it offensive because we all know that a dough boy is not going to be able to keep up with people that in peek physical form. As an overweight person myself, I don't want to play a fat guy in video games. I want to play the guy who actually looks like he can do the things he does in the game. They don't want representation, they want to make their low self esteemed selves feel better by making everything else look bad. It reminds me of a spoiled child who makes up a game on the spot and then keeps changing the rules to ensure you keep losing.

Decades ago I read the Fantastic Four comics that featured Malice, Mistress of Hate. She was being mind controlled by a villain and eventually led to her maturing from the Invisible Girl into the Invisible Woman. She also physically defeated the team using her powers maliciously. I personally like the idea of different skins in all sorts of games. It makes it easier for people to find a look or feel for a character that they might otherwise not play. I mean imagine in smash bros if you couldn't have different skins?

One of the strongest points of this game is that it is super faithful to the comics and has many fantastic references to the Marvel universe, the Skins are one of them, it is simply a work of art, and the result, more than 644k peak players on Steam! Unquestionable success.

The thing that makes me laugh about this is, I don’t even like marvel rivals and don’t play it (I can see the appeal though for those who do). On the other hand my friend who is a woman play it all the time and loves the game, not once have I heard her complain that the skins are too revealing or that it needs to be changed, likely because most normal people, whether it’s a man or a woman, like pretty character designs and like having them in the game.

I just KNOW that when characters like Emma Frost and Elektra come to Marvel Rivals, these "critics" are only going to get louder and worse. And my favorite part of all of this, Dagger's (another beautiful blonde from Marvel) design in this game is TASTEFUL by comparison to her original look in the comics. Clearly, Netease knows how to design an absolute baddie with respect. Edit: I just realized something. If Rogue is ever added to the game, watch Netease drop her Savage Land outfit as a skin. They will rake in the cash so fast!

The whole point of the Malice persona was to drum up controversy and interest in the Sue Storm character who had kinda been regulated to 1950's housewife status. So I feel like this is "mission accomplished" finally.

I think maybe we should ignore ridiculous twitteresque allegations and claims as a majority of people, as the emotionally mature people. It's also adviced for bullies, if you don't give them any attention it becomes boring for them and they stop doing it. Either way, I hope especially game devs are able to discern this type of online outrage from actual feedback from their fans.
