I love how absolutely dramatic everyone in the show is. The rabbi is literally comparing a bad review of a play, that he isn’t even in, to living under hitler.

2:21 At that point, it's like all the more subtle ways they were dissing Abe stopped being subtle.

My favorite part starts @ 4:26 when Midge is in the background arguing with the guy in front of her lol.

Do Jews really corner each other in Synagogues like this, Sabbath services must be awesome to watch , so much engagement in the community
@nathanracher2911 Жыл бұрын
Depends on the congregation.
@yoshisisland24 Жыл бұрын
@@nathanracher2911 you know this scene reminded me of the Town Meetings in Gilmore Girls, I wonder if Amy Sherman-paladino used her congregation for inspiration

I am a Jew and I can tell you with 100 percent certainty that this never happens in any Synagogue. People are very polite and extremely courteous during prayers or even after.

No not really. Im jewish and typically they dont do this at all. But its a tv show so obviously they exagerate and add drama to it. But jews do talk alot and can be nosy. 🤣. But differant synougouges so depends

This has always been a problem with how the Sherman-Paladino team writes. They come up with good concepts and do write some clever, amusing stuff, but then they alwaus go into left field with cartoonish crap. And it is clear to me that Amy Sherman-Paladino has no business pretending to embrace her Jewishness with shows like this. She is only half Jewish, was not raised in a traditional Jewish home and it shows over and over again. This was plainly the worst, most unrealistic scene in the series. I was angry after watching it.
