The mask amplifies and emotionally expresses you're inner most desires in life. Ipkiss watches a lot of classic western cartoons which are VERY over the top and just wants to be cool, so the mask mixes both his love of cartoons and his desire to be cool. And since it's a carving a Loki's face, it tends to cause a lot of mischief a result, but it's based off the person who puts it on.

In the OG comic this was based off, The Mask is a violent insane ride where the mask default turns you into a cartoonish insane murderer causing chaos. In this, Ipkiss just wants to be cool and get the girl. Ipkiss in the comics wants REVENGE over people he feels have wrong him and gets it, violently and gory lol. One of my favorite is he blows up and kills a WHOLE wedding just to kill a mob boss by hammering a rocket in the tip lol. And since the mask makes you basically a god, he survives ALL smoky and says one of my favorite lines as he's leaving: _"I love weddings"_ with the massive big head mask smile on his face lol.

The Mask is one of those movies which never makes us bored and doesn't matter how many times we watched it it never feels boring and we enjoy it more and more every time and gives the feelings of nostalgia. Jim Carrey's more than just hilarious acting and Cameron Diaz's unbelievable beauty and acting are two main things of this film. This movie's comedy is on next level. It makes us laugh every time we watch and of course that's because of Jim Carrey's unbelievable acting he did in this film.
