The game does nothing to teach you how sync kills work. You need to be on a flat plane with your enemy. He needs to have melee'd first (except Banshees, they need to be in aggressive stance) and you need to not be invincible when it hits (which means you can Nova cancel to nosell a Phantom)

God mode Garrus can kill a harvester so fast that it soft locks the mission to rescue the new Turian Primarch's son because the Harvester is meant to show up at a later point after being driven off. Imagine being a "supporting character", and you break the timeline of the protagonist's journey because the script didn't account for your power.

I eliminate all 3 harvesters myself. The third one shows up to distract me but I just Claymore the shit out of it and that whole space where I'm supposed to fight marauders never happens and then I move on. I make it my mission to eliminate the harvesters ASAP.

As a Vanguard, this video is incredibly accurate. Especially if you get the limitless assualt rifle from the citadel DLC, you upgrade and mod the shit out of that and get a Shotgun the enemy opposition is practically battered down cake.

@@barrygeistwhite3474 yes but having a limit on ammo makes your mind less confident, you have a gun that you can fall on without a Cap you'll find yourself Instinctively crutching onto it.

@@clothar23 When playing Manguard the gun is more of a tool than a weapon, thus the AP ammo. Shooting through three guys and those silly riot shields is typically more useful to me than doing a bit more damage to something I'm about to Nova to death anyway. Cerberus Vanguard or Drellgard on the other hand? You bet I'm slapping on Warp Rounds.

You don’t need aim with vanguard… especially in ME3. Biotic charge and nova blast will wipe out 90% of enemies and Garrus will get the rest.

@@ferrous719 You can use tactical pause after you've charged to preaim (using RMB if playing with keyboard & mouse). It sounds a bit cheaty but the game allows it and it basically gives you the opportunity to John Wick the opposition in real time

​@@ferrous719if you can aim well enough for charge, that's all you need for shotgun. Basically, after charge (which puts you in front of an enemy and pointing your gun at them), just immediately hit the fire button before moving your camera. Husks are actually easier, just use nova when they get close. It's an area-of-effect so it'll hit anything nearby, which is their only method of attacking. You can even face the wrong direction

In ME1 i remember breaking the game with a soldier build where you get the best rifle in the game and 2 high level heat sinks with fire ammo and stopping power, it made a giant machine gun cannon that had unlimited ammo, never overheated and blew literally every enemy in the game away in seconds and ragdolled them. Shit was hilarious.

Class I had the most fun with was a Sentinel tuned for power recharge time and biotic force. Pair with Liara for her Singularity and add someone who can also strip shields, and I think I killed more enemies towards the end by knocking them outsode the level geometry than by reducing their health. Had the Prothean laser with AP rounds for general shooting and the Tech Armor was an emergency escape button

The ME3 Vanguard is stupid powerful. It makes it extremely fun to play as a Biotic compared to an Adept or Sentinel. Also, the "You big, stupid jellyfish" is really funny considering Shepard is basically a watery meat bag in comparison to a Reaper.

I found playing vanguard, specifically in me2 to be extremely frustrating at first. I had no good long range attacks or weapons. Espicallu when I was forced to be distant from an enemy and had to rely on my squad who some times were terrible. However late game it was extremely fun.

For me what helped was getting the auto rifle specialization in the midgame. The Mattock pretty much compensates for the range issues of the Vanguard especially if you have incendiary ammo in use. The Locust SMG can also help. Though you I think can only access this stuff in DLC that might not even be accessible outside of the Legendary port.

I always use nova in the command menu, so I can easily choose which direction to send it after a charge. useful in case you killed the energy you charged into, and wanna hit its buddy close by.
