We did get that 40 cm of snow after all. Good thing you worked on the hydraulics. I changed my oil last summer while I was working on the shifter. Broken spring on my high/low gear. swapped it out for another one and all is good now. Take care Pete.

If you have a big old roaster and wood stove that has good heat control. Put some of that oil in the roaster and boil the water off. Just don't get it to hot just hot enough to cause the water to boil off. I also use a big old electric fry pan ( got it cheap from the thrift shop) to boil the water off. Doesn't take long. You'll know it's done when it stops popping and goes clear again. Works really good, but do it where it is well ventilated as it does smell and I assume not good to breath in.

Hi Pete I have a 1999 MF 231. I saw a hydraulic hose on your MF 50 going to the fill plug. What is this for? I ran a snow plow and rear blade for snow, but I can not get the hydraulics to work together. Do you have any insight to resolve this issue?
