I wanted to say, as a 54 year old INFJ woman, that your INFJ videos are exactly the tough love I needed to hear. I came back to watching youtube videos on INFJ today to get the mirroring that I hoped would help me out of action paralysis. I am so grateful for your direct approach. Couldn't you say that the child starts out selfish and demanding like the teenager form of the parent, but grows into the responsibility and keenness of the parent as it becomes the youth function; The teenager (undeveloped parent) starts out critical and harsh like the critic/grandfather function, but becomes wise and discerning like the sage function and is able to be the parent function The grandfather/critic starts out clueless and senile like the trickster function, but becomes wise like the master function The trickster function starts clueless and naive like the child function, but grows to have hidden talents and have realizations that others would have overlooked like the child/youth at its best. Its full circle, I think.

The 4-7-8 breathing technique involves breathing in for 4 seconds, holding the breath for 7 seconds, and exhaling for 8 seconds. This breathing pattern aims to reduce anxiety or help people get to sleep. The 4-7-8 breathing technique is a form of pranayama, which is the practice of breath regulation.

Sometimes I just wish I could forget all these labels we put ourselves into, our archetypal understanding would have to expand before we can use these terms beyond stagnancy. Something doesn’t really sit right with this theory, what comes after mastery? Perfection? Transcendence? Can we really embrace humility, wisdom or mastery without realizing we are a particle amongst an infinitude of other equal particles? Can we hold that thought alongside the knowing that we are also simultaneously a wave? Still, thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts.
@deltagamma14423 ай бұрын
My guess is mastery is a personal height and not an absolute
@Faiscamar3 ай бұрын
Even as a personal height it doesn’t necessarily come through a linear progression and it’s not objectively easy to judge. I definitely prefer Adlerian psychology’s perspective on freedom of choice. According to his theory in every given moment we choose what the past meant for us, how we look and judge ourselves and everything else, it seems to me that it means a singular shift of perspective can take us to doom or mastery and back in an instant. We can tie up as many pathways we want, cause and effect and still always part of a larger system. Even when the particle parts of us line up in a very logical objective way, there is always the wave parts of us that being neither subjective nor objective we fail to grasp.
@deltagamma14423 ай бұрын
@@Faiscamar I don't think Chase is saying anything different from what you mentioned. The idea of mastery isn't a state of constant mastery, but more so that you're more humble than not I guess. He even talks about the flow of the energy across different sides of the mind as transitory. Its a percentage distribution at any given point in time. The more balanced the more mastery. But its never static over long periods of time.
@Faiscamar3 ай бұрын
I know. Still you can see by the questions that rise up in the conversation that what he’s saying it’s not landing in a logical understanding but it a set of rules for judgment and that got me thinking about purpose and responsibility. Thanks Chase! Those are one of those that makes you understand the general picture. Question: Can a person achieving mastery with his trickster function surpass somebody using that particular function as hero, even if he has the right input? Ex: ESTP basketball player and INTP basketball player both using Se.
@SirSpence993 ай бұрын
So yes and no. Master function takes a long time to develop so especially for things where physical shape matters (IE age) it is unlikely to be the case that said INTP would catch up before he gets too old. The other factor is that by default it will be more difficult for an INTP to develop Se than an ESTP so it is unlikely if they spend the same amount of time practicing the INTP will catch up. But, if the INTP does ever catch up, said INTP will be capable of going much further. (Ignoring physical limitations) So, theoretically yes, practically no, but only because you picked a sport. Had you picked something that age itself wouldn't be as large of a factor for, yes.

Three non-ADHD motivators include: a clear personal goal, positive social recognition, and intrinsic interest in the activity itself; essentially, being motivated by a desire to achieve something personally meaningful, gaining praise from others, or simply enjoying the task at hand without external rewards. Explanation: Personal Goal: When someone is motivated by a goal that directly aligns with their own values and aspirations, it can drive action even without external pressure, which is a key aspect of non-ADHD motivation. Positive Social Recognition: Receiving praise or appreciation from peers, colleagues, or loved ones can be a strong motivator for many people, encouraging them to continue a behavior or task. Intrinsic Interest: When someone genuinely enjoys an activity or finds it stimulating, the motivation to engage comes from the inherent satisfaction of the task itself, rather than external rewards

No here we go the master function You spoke about being able to stay there I find that very interesting. Now tight doesn't change I'm not going to argue that but what happens if someone holds on to one function more than another outside of order of the positions. Because I mean honestly just cuz we prefer the hero it doesn't mean that our minds and our identity and what we believe or think or fear cannot move around freely. So what I type is ESTP cuz I'm lying to my ISTP because I'm lying to myself I try to be as honest as I can as much as I'm self-aware but I mean the ISTP would be what I'm holding on to TIFE and then SE and ni. Then my next question would be well I've read that executive function with a frontal cortex is thinking and feeling so putting sensing an intuition on the top and the bottom puts executive function in the middle and in order to have the best executive function at that point you have to go to all four sides of the mind. Is that the focus issue bouncing around to all four sides and then what is the dyslexia the dyslexia is what switch between the hero ego and the hero subconscious they are definitely two totally opposing points of view. Or what if I really love my TI parent that I'm just that curious and I want to explore learn and understand and yet I'm still a silly little child that doesn't know what the hell he's doing but I don't know That's how I approach anything that I'm trying to overcome and maybe I just don't like when there's no challenge I need a challenge I need growth I can't sit in this stagnant routine that most people live in I look at it as complacent and death Life is meant to be lived explored not to live in this screwed up society where okay wow you got the job you got the house you got the kids but nobody has the time left to grow as a human being.

So what I truly want is unconscious and what I truly value is in the super ego so these are the two things I have to connect This would explain why they said integrating head and the heart is one of the two hardest things to integrate because this is all that's left standing in my way to reach full cognitive integration. The ENTP who knows exactly what he values and exactly what he wants.

I have frequent cases of strong deja vu premonitions throughout my life (Including now, which is why I’m asking). They may mean jack shit, and are just your brain guessing random patterns correctly momentarily. Or it’s just your brain tricking you into believing you’ve seen the patterns before. I’m just curious about your thoughts on deja vu or if you could tie it in with Jungnian dynamics.

I don't maybe it's a dyslexic thing or looking overall the subject matter you put together which is absolutely amazing I like how you break it down I think you should add in some of the orbital stuff you'd spoken about in videos instead of the two-dimensional pictures doesn't matter what function I'm in be it to hear all the parent child or the inferior I think if I flip that view it changes to the overall top function if you're well lower anyway and I think that's a negative transition have to go back to the top transition but I mean just what do you value what do you focus on that changes all of it constantly

Apathy The movie is a warning sign to those who participate in society's apathy. The effects of abuse The movie shows how abuse and harsh treatment can lead to mental instability and make someone an outcast. The power of empathy The movie is a compassionate portrait of society's lost souls and a call for empathy. The ugliness of society The movie reflects the ugliness of society and the corporation that profits from violence. The need for help The movie depicts what can happen if people who are mentally unstable and treated harshly are not given the help they need. The movie generated controversy and speculation about its potential negative influence. However, it didn't seem to inspire any major real-world acts of violence.

What I'm I afraid off. How do I answer that honestly... I'm afraid to make mistakes but ok leaning from my mistakes. I hate the fact I'm capable intellectualy and emotionally.. yet don't have control on the emotional side ❤️ especially once I care. More so the fear is like u said and well aware of. I don't want to hurt ppl. I'm afraid of love. I don't deserve it. My insecurities will manipulate and or hurt others. I'm afraid of status money power. I see what it does to humanity. More then anything I'm afraid I'll lose myself... I'm afraid of comfort who am I without suffering? It defines me. I'm no hero but I am a champion I'm a fool a leader a helper dic who may not even see u if I'm in motion. Pulled out of that foucse abruptly is not good. I'm asking myself do I need them honestly who's helping who. Manipulative? Foolish? It's not transactional. We all help each other but what we give isn't necessary how it's representative now is it even about reciprocation no or come on The reality of it is is if you help people around you they remember you and the hard part about that is you have to set boundaries with them once you do so or more so know your own. It's it's odd really because we all do it one way or another. We all want the same things well kind of but under all the layers and all the insecurity and all the projection and and all the money or the status or whatever their vice is it's all the same. I can't verify this source how but I can show it to people first hand in the moment and explain how it works but Chase I have the freedom I have no obligation well like you said the people around me. Explain to me why I have to put all this to the public but certainly helps it's almost like journaling and it helps with the memory but there's a lot more to it than that but then it's like ok don't be a dic... But I am also responding I think with all this that's how it works it depends who you're working with but if you can pull all these aspects of your personality into you know one I think it would make communication across the whole spectrum stronger.. I do not go about things the easy way. I definitely need a system but I am definitely still pondering because I don't understand all this enough I think that and I and the NE are higher and the SE and the SI are lower and I don't I don't know My first perception is well like the statistics say the hero and the child but what if I went the other route and did the hero and the parent how do I tell the difference can you see the difference I need to see the contrast and I don't understand that yet

I don't know My team leads going to move on for the main reasons I never wanted to advance and now my perspective has changed about the whole situation but I have myself discipline I'm going to stick to that path but I'm going to embrace every opportunity along the way to better myself to the point as long as I do not sacrifice myself discipline for the moment for something to that nature to follow my meeting

Like you said Chase open the gates and let it flood out across the plane. Zoom out. Thinking I'm behind the curb I'm ahead of the curve and I'm zooming in to overcome aspects of who I am when I already have. Too much in the past for the future and not enough in the now. You said back to the childhood interesting that leads me to believe what would be the first cognitive function a child develops when I ponder it I come up with the first one is going to be SI. And the second of course have needs of hunger Matt would not they be SE. This brings me back to nature nurture. If the human mind is a computer just like any computer the hardware is all the same on a technical level I mean we can argue subtle differences but whatever The programming that defines what it does not the hardware now certainly some hardware might be specifically built for better applications than others I think that we are born you have to have an internal sense of SI even in the womb you got to feel heartbeat or sense of heartbeat correction You got to be able to sense something internally even though you're unaware of what it is that sense has to be the first thing that comes to light until birth that is but I think it might go even deeper than that and sense can pick up on feelings and some level of intuition it has to if the blank slate has access to all these functions there isn't pattern to the levels they become aware and I think the types and the stacks or any gram core numbers all of this is centralized around needs and wants or wounds of what is socially acceptable and what is not then again it's being projected upon us by an outside world that itself has not yet come to a state that they're even able to healthily teach such a new beginning. And I think this is why certain realities and perspectives skip generations the children do not want to be what parent was or vice verse and then it just swings back and forth but from an instinctual level it means the child will overcome with the parent couldn't it's ironic the naming conventions in all of this

I don't think it maters if you're extroverted or introverted like I am an ENTP with dyslexia, and I know an ENFP and ISTP with dyslexia as well. And apparently, there is an INFJ in this chat with dyslexia, so dyslexia can effect any type. However, I do think xNxPs are ejected the most often. for example in this article, 4 out of the 8 celebrities with dyslexia were xNxP. and not even considering how much more common the xSxJ is, but you should expect 25% to be a match to the personality xNxP. So there should have been about 1 or 2 with the matching xNxP type. Dyslexia is probably more common with an xNxPs.

Should bring this up with your buddy Murcer next time you’re on his show. He and I have gone round and round on the topic. He claims it’s impossible to develop the trickster in any significant way, definitely not to level of mastery. :) Don’t bother with cognitive mechanics…but have those sources ready for Te 😆

Chase my achievement doesn't define me I have a chief so much and walked away from all of it cuz I realized the emptiness of it could not live a life that way and I've come to realize it doesn't matter what situation I put myself in I can have a positive impact a very big one but I had to be careful which situations I put in myself in is not only do I change the outside world the outside world will change me and there are some things I don't want to be changed into and there are places I will never go back to that I have already overcome but Chase the farther on this journey you go the lonelier and lonelier it gets and then the only outlet left for connection is outward to help others then again if I could meet my equal or better on that plane I could be content there too so I know exactly what I want I know exactly how to do it but see it's all about just being in the moment now chance does favor the prepared mine and preparation is the key to success

Okay well I'm going to go take my little cousin for bike ride and go fishing hopefully ease the tension of the marriage but it's much deeper than that. Maybe I think solitude with a social perspective is really the best outcome

I need to independently take care of myself without relying on others I want to help others to learn to do the same. So I'm not there yet I'm very close. But I wonder then aren't they both king archetypes... One's more of the king the others more of the queen

It sounds like you're saying the best way for people to develop is to have relationships with a variety of mature people. When you say use the tools in your tool box I assume you mean develop neuropathways with the various functions.
