This is my (haven't totally) educated guess. There are 4 functions that makes him enjoying this lecture. Ti parent, Fe child (both of them to tell the truth so people can be better), Si inferior (recalling all the stories in the past) and Se demon (don't matter whether people say he gives bad experience or not) to give them bad experience to stop being hypocritical FOR ALL OF THE CRITIC FUNCTIONS. These factors may be why, he is enjoying this lecture.

I identify as an INFP and like CS Joseph content for its direct / no nonsense appoarch. All I would say is move forward in actualising, self love and development is the winning ticket for a stable base. The more knowledge I hoover up when I encounter an issue, the more aware I become, which can then be past onto others. I see new challenges now almost like old fables, which can be past on when someone else counters a similar issue. So take notes when internally running towards the fear I already know you can overcome. Because I have learnt one of my “functions” to be other people’s catalysts. This is an amazing gift, just know your already amazing and learn more about yourself to give more of this gift to others. I must admit I see humans interacting with each other, so rather than always intentional causing pain. It’s difference in mindsets and how we interact. By deep understanding of what sets up these internal differences is what can bring us closer together as a whole. But I am a “fluffy” / deep thinking INFP than using more to the point cutting logic.

You are a really good teacher. So many people on the platform talk about the MBTI typing with the letters and vaguely go over the cognitive functions, but you've even seemingly taken it a step further and now its all beginning to make sense. It's no longer wishy, washy. I still cant determine my type that well and im constantly changing my type based on my thoughts and actions, but the point is, im getting closer to the truth of who I am and how to help connect with people, and how to understand peoples movements, what makes them uncomfortable or angry, what brings them joy(even when it seemingly can go unacknowledged on the surface). It helped out when talking to certain types of women and peoples work styles. Gives a sense of relatability to the people around you and helps recognize that the people around us and ourselves are human. Thank you for all of your teachings....(can you tell im informative yet?)

As a ENFJ, how would I stop criticizing the intentions of other people; when in the past I had to deal with a narcissist who manipulated me into thinking I was crazy and assholes who stole my belongings back in middle school. Although, their are a few people who I trust such as my family and close friends, is it really that bad to keep your guard up most of the time? Especially since we are prone to subtle manipulation.

OMG this is the first time I've heard Ni-critic explained to me (as an INFP). So true! We don't dare 'want' anything for real. I think it's even worse when you've been hurt before (because Fi gets hit so hard). And Ne-parent seems to avoid this inaction by taking too many actions (or worse: imagining too many actions) - although avoiding any real commitment deep down. It's like we run around with a thousand personas but don't dare be real to ourselves anymore. we hide the 'real' inside but just wander around on the outside. Why INFPs seem to take on different personas all the time. 2020 resolution: dare to take action! [This is why we love INTJs so much lol bc their Ni takes on our Ne

The function stackings of a type all play in tune with each other. They don't individually exist, they can't. They exist because of each other. Just like the Ni critic exists because of Ne parent priority and critical of itself or everyone else's Ni because you think them(or yourself) being selfish so you saying you like INTJs really makes me really doubt it espcially with Ni critic(it could go either way, either a hypocrite or wise) but since INJs is all about what they want no matter what, the INPs will far more often than not dislike them and view them as the most selfish person ever (especially the INTJ) despite it being far from the truth, unlike the responsible Ni parent of the ENJs the Ni hero of the INJs is more about the Ego/Heroic than responsibility etc., thus being less responsible(often very much so than not) so yeah, the INPs will not like the INJs more often than the ENJs on that specific aspect. Edit: Also speaking of "getting hurt so hard," the child function will get hurt the hardest ever, that's why we need to take care and be mindful of them, not the Hero function, the hero/first function gets "hurt" but it's hurt in the Ego/reputation sense, the child gets hurt genuinely and truly, so anyone hurting the child function knowingly, deserves hell but the ones who hurt the Hero function is fine. The INPs' child is Si, it's nothing about Fi, Fi is the IFPs Ego/hero/reputation, it gets hurt but can't compare to the hurt of the child function. Btw ITJs are the ones who have Fi child, their feelings too fragile but they never show it its because how fragile it is, the IFPs outwardly displays their Fi hero being hurt by moaning outwardly and actively but the Fi child just goes to bed and cries themselves to sleep but no one in the world will ever know that, so yeah

Omg! (said the atheist) Chase, you just caused me to have an epiphany! I've never, ever wanted kids and I am Always, Always harping about people damaging their children...as well as having kids when there are countless orphaned/abandoned kids (hypocrite--bc I'm not out there adopting homeless kids) a. Maybe some INTPs don't want kids bc they see other people neglecting/abusing/screwing up theirs. b. Easy for me to judge parents when I've never been in their shoes. Although I adamantly stand by my decision to harshly judge shitty parents (and animal guardians)...they deserve to be found lacking...and to be punished. Altbough your method is by far superior: teaching people how to better understand their kids and themselves is admirable and much more effective than the elaborate fantasy punishments I construct in my head for abusers. Well-done and thanks for the epiphany, I just love them.

It can be a pain to get out of this comfy rut and get going, because it is so awfully comfortable (I'm admittedly guilty of this as well). However, actually getting crap _done_ is more than enough to offset the initial inertia, and while you are at it, use the momentum that you are gaining from getting something done to get started on the next thing. Plus keep in mind that you don't have to be perfect with it as viable is always good enough, and if you feel the need to improve anything, you can still do it.

I think there's some level of depth you left out. Ni critic prevents me from doing a lot more than just what other people have been irresponsible with. IE: The gym, the food I eat (always prefer healthy), the suggestions I bring to work, the posts I make on reddit, or anything to do with a want. If I don't have any data on it at all, it becomes an irrational fear. I think this is a situation where the functions should be understood at a very basic level, and not based off of real life experiences. Otherwise there might be little gems that might have be worth millions in the future.

There is a vicious spiral to the bottom regarding trust and abandonment: Someone senses that the person they have some sort of relation with is a high maintainence person becuase they are sensitive-> Want to get the hell out of this high maintainence relation -> The person being sensitive becomes jaded because of this and potentially even more sensitive so next relationship is even more high maintainence -> Abandoned again.

I agree that we (INxPs) probably are afraid to want something, but there's something else going on too. There's a spiritual component too. The Buddha's 1st Noble Truth is "Life is suffering", but the actual meaning of that is "nothing will satisfy you." You think kids will make you happy? Wrong. You think a relationship will make you happy? Wrong. You think money and fame will make you happy? Wrong. Nothing outside of yourself will make you truly happy. There's always gonna be a downside. The real problem, seen from a spiritual perspective, is that wanting itself is what is making us unhappy.

(INTP) - great video I think the parent needs to advise the critic. Ne needs to advise the Ni. for myself I have found it is perfectly ok to be critical of my chosen paths in my future. in so long as I keep widening my options. keep finding good options and narrow them down one by one. until the only options left are good ones. then any option is a good one. so for you - your Ti needs to advise your Te (like what you have done) not sure how that translates to other types. I wonder if that goes further - in that the inferior and the parent needs to advise the other functions and it seems to apply. the enfp needs Fi and Si to inform their Fe and Te. your thoughts??

or perhaps in short our fears, worries, critic, trickster etc needs to spur us into action as opposed to grounding us. a healthy individual probably operates by their parent and inferior function the majority of times. because we or at least I have an abundance of my child and hero.... often manifesting itself in a poor way.

I wish half the people commenting actually would be willing to suffer for wisdom. INTPs - You've burned us, but in the correct way. Thank you for your OG wisdom, Chase. ^What comments look like on "Who are the INTPs?" All other types (especially NFs) - I love this concept and your channel, but would never want to be burned by wisdom myself. You come off abrasive and I don't like that. I'd rather take the expedient route and dish it out and just say I'm Enlightened because I watch your channel.

Thank you Chase for this important playlist! Could you please make a playlist where you explain how to develop Ne as hero, Ne as parent, Ne as child and so on? With one video for each function? So like this playlist, but instead of having one video for hero, one for parent etc., having one video for Ne, one for Ni and so on. It would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for all the great content and for being so harsh to us INFPs! Greetings from Austria

On behalf of Isfjs I'm sorry for what we put people through. I'm greatful that for every arch type there are people they can relate well to. I went through the critical stage with people and am still not all the way out of the woods with that but I have grown a lot and am not the same as I once was I understand better that its hard to measure up to the moral compass of myself and I believe that God wants us to try our best and he knows when we are. But he is more merciful than we are, we have to learn mercy with others and ourselves.

This guy’s really growing on me, at first I was like he’s too much lol my Se (ESTP) couldn’t take it, I found the Ne stress inducing, but the more I watch the more I learn, plus I now see him as really forthright not pretentious and the stuff he says checks out, like the real deal Still need to get used to the Ne style a bit more for example the going on tangents (I mean from my perspective) but for now I either speed up the video or watch the long videos in short chunks. Maybe other sensors can relate?

I'm an ISTP. I remember certain things that are important to me very well and in great detail. I remember things so specifically that several people have told me that I have a good memory, which in turn causes me to believe it myself. I also don't rage often. I don't have the mental energy for outbursts of anger (but outbursts of happiness is a different story). So if someone kept a record of everything I forgot, just to show it to me at an opportune moment, I'd get annoyed, but I wouldn't lash out. I'd get quiet and aloof. And honestly, I'd probably get out my notebook and do the same to them. Two can play at that game. Let's see how you like it. So now I'm questioning if I'm even an ISTP. So many things check out, but so many things don't. I feel like I don't fit in these boxes, but ISTP is just the closest. Based on your descriptions, I believe I use both Se and Si very strongly, as if both are parent functions. But that's impossible according to Beebe, right? So many questions. Gotta do more research. I love your passion, though. It's inspiring.

This reminded me of a conversation I recently had with my friend. So I told him that I might like a guy, and that guy might like me. (The uncertain of an INTP) He went : "You changes your crush like once every month" I was like excuse me?? I've only known you for 2 years or so and I've stopped crushing people for 4 years already :)) and somehow by "knowing my life better than me" He, an ISTJ, is so determined that he was right. I had to calmly explain to him the case we were in :)) he held silence for 5 minutes, made a *realization sound* and changed the subject.

This Bible verse came to mind in this vid, not sure if you’d agree but i cant help but think of: “Do not judge so that you will not be judged. Oh my god! This was an amazing lecture, lots of rants and damn funny. The bug - hammer analogy. Lol. that's what I do to my ESFP father when he doesn't listen to my ESFJ mom about not helping others and stuff. And yes my mom wears weirdest of weird clothes which are revolting, sometimes bright yellow which may harm our eyes and always criticizes me for wearing plain black or fandom t-shirts. Now I know what to do with that. Since my dad vicariously tries to live through me, demanding to develop will power, my Ni critic is fairly developed, but still need a lot of work to do. I consider everything I want with excruciating details. Amazing lecture. Loved it.

Yay! This was a nice surprise. I thought you were going to upload for a different season. You have 9,935 subscribers now! 🎉 I almost want to unsubscribe so I can be your 10k subscriber 😂 I want to say you had like 200 when I first found you! If you tell your kids you're thankful for 10,000 subscribers will they understand or are they too young? I'm also curious, does KZbin give you any perks when you hit 10k? Your description of Si critic almost sounded more like Si trickster? Re: Si child, I used to play pool but I was always better at it when I was buzzed. So maybe that was more using Se in a cognitive transition? I also loved the rocking horse metaphor. It's especially fitting for "movement" types -- "there's a lot of movement, but you're not going anywhere!" 🏇vs🎠 😂

I'm an INFP, so Ni critic, but after being betrayed and my loyalty being abused I found myself becoming hypervigilant with my relationships and friends, at the first lie or impression they could be faking something I'am going to jump to conclusions and calling out this person, telling them that I won't trust anymore if they keep telling lies or staying in the ambiguity. Are these the consequences of the shadow transition? Does this make sense?

in terms of the INP's, or at least the INFP, you say that Ne parent allows them to see others fates. Don't you think this would give them some form of wisdom over the dangers of wanting things. As awful as it is to fear your own desires, and stagnate, you have to admit seeing everyone else crash and burn would contribute.
@paulwilliams1731
@paulwilliams1731 5 жыл бұрын
also, since ni is an introverted function, wouldn't it mean we're hyper critical of our own desires, and wouldn't focus on judging the desires of others? I feel awful when I can't get things done because I'm afraid of failure, and I feel that the fact that I don't try somehow makes me better, even though I wish I could try. still, I don't outwardly judge others for pursuing goals, only for being annoying about it based on my inner insecurity, but when I use it correctly, and try I pride myself on my willpower. (side note) Its also a bit hypocritical to announce with all pride that you're actively biased, but also claim so boldly that you're correct. it feels as though you make no room for error in your logic. not really relevant to this video, but on a few INFP topics, you skim them in the video, but have very important details in the comments when someone calls you out. you may do this frequently, but I've mainly watched infp videos. TBH I'm starting to take mbti with more grains of salt as I'm starting to see the system blend together.
