You are so right about customer service!!, I bought 2 jackets from Matcheless, first one in london the flagship store, no complains at all, but the second was the Craig Blouson, on line, on discount, terrible customer service or can call lack of. As you say never again, the jacket arrived in excellent condition but never again, they don´t even dare to answer the emails. Anayway nice jacket but horrible customer service.

I have a similar experience with Mason and Sons. I ordered a two piece suit in March and it came in JULY!!!

This is my own personal opinion but I hate the logo on the sleeve. To me it looks like someone just stuck a button there and sewed it on. It kind of takes your eyes off the jacket because your eyes are drawn to that button (in my opinion). If it didn't have the logo on the sleeve and only had it on the zipper I would consider it because it's beautiful suede. Too bad about the customer service and the quality assurance as well (one jacket had a clear boot print on it) because it's a cool looking jacket. I had saved up money to buy this jacket before your review but after your review I took my money and bought the Omega Spectre watch as a graduation gift to myself. That really sucks that this brand would do that especially since it's been entrusted with the James Bond name.

I got a chuckle from your comment at 2:40 about the Matchless looking like the John Varvatos blue suede jacket. It should. The Morocco jacket is a copy of a brown John Varvatos split seam jacket from 2014, only a different color. The JV split seam jacket is briefly seen towards the end of The Martian.

seriously check out Wested Leather in the UK for affordable alternatives of the Morroccan suede blouson and also the navy bridge suede racer jacket from Spectre. They are a company who made the original Indiana Jones leather jackets and continue to supply the TV/film industry with leather clothing. For Daniel Craig fans they also do a replica of the Layer Cake leather jacket.

Lee Greveson, I have the Wested and it is spot on to the Matchless jacket. The stitching on the shoulders and arms are beautifully done. It has the same seam around the waist. It looks like the exact same slim cut. Wested has two colors, tan and beige. They are both beautiful. The tan probably looks closer to the color people “thought” was screen accurate, maybe a little darker. The beige is screen accurate and looks exactly like the one David has on. The only differences with the Matchless jacket are the lack of a stiff rod inside the collar, doesn’t have the collar latches, and it doesn’t have a logo on the sleeve or anywhere else on the outside of the jacket. Instead of $1,500 shipped to the US, the Wested is $300 shipped. I like the jacket so much, I have both the tan and the beige. When I wear the tan with snuff suede Chukka boots and a snuff suede belt, they both match my jacket. If I want a screen accurate James Bond outfit, I wear my beige jacket. I bought both color jackets and I still spent less than half of the cost of the Matchless jacket.

Thank you for addressing this huge problem. 1 have had to send my machless jacket back twice due to the state it arived in. infact after returning the jacket back the 2nd time i refused a replacement and instead hunted and found the jacket in a+ condition from of all people, Ini magnaolI Who offer a great alternative for both the Tangier & London scenes. i just lost my patients with Matchles. thanks for posting your review about this huge problem of their customer service. kind regards Anthony N Kendrick
