A world in ruin which has a fake computer world created by robots that they have to try wake and free humanity from. It was grim and realistic movie with a sense of danger throughout the plot. Agent Smith was "freed" when Neo scrambled his code at the end of the first movie. But when Smith was rebooted, his program was now a computer virus, as an ironic call-back to Smith comparing humans with a virus. Instead of an Agent's standard Possession ability, Smith was now able to endlessly replicate himself, taking over both virtual body contructs of plugged-in humans as well as other programs. And sending Neo the earpiece sent the message, "I, Smith, am now unplugged from the machines' collective mind."

Without the proper corresponding key, Neo's only option is to fly to the city from the French Dude's house in the mountain. This is the second time I've seen people not understand the whole point of introducing the keymaker and the keys. The keymaker uses keys to make a shortcut between two places with a corresponding door. These shortcuts are limited, only one shortcut key works on it's matching door and will always take them to the same destination (This is why they need to use a specific door in order to get to the architect) After the key is used to open a shortcut, if the key is removed from the door, and the door is closed, reopening it without a key will take you where the door originally goes. You can tell when doors are acting as shortcuts, because one side of the door doesn't match the other side. So, it is shown that the French dude's wife uses a key in the back room of the restaurant to teleport to their home, which is in the mountains. Once the fighting starts, the French dude leaves through the same door he entered, taking him back to the restaurant, but when Neo reopens the door, it is shown they are on a mountain top. It happens again, when the Keymaker urges Trinity and Morpheus to use a door he is opening with a key, which becomes a shortcut back to the city. Once through the door he tells them to shut the door, because it will close the shortcut, which is why the one Twin jams their arm into the doorway, to stop them. Once through the door, the twin slams it in Neo's face, so the door will similarly revert back to opening outside of the French dude's home in the mountains.

In defense of this film, the reason agent Smith was able to inhabit a flesh and blood person in Zion, and the reason Neo could stop sentinels with his mind in the real world, is because originally, the twist in the third film was going to be that what the rebels thought was the real world was a Matrix within a Matrix meant to control the people that reject the programming. But in the third film they dropped that reveal and retconned it to ruin. Now it's a plot hole instead of an ingenious set up.

@davidhoffman69804 жыл бұрын
@Donovann Maybe, but it's never really revealed to the audience and the Oracle's explanations don't imply that. Matrix 3 kind of dropped the ball on answers and a satisfying resolution. In the first film, Morpheus says as long as the Matrix exists humanity can never be free. This also seems to justify the collateral damage, but the series ends with a temporary ceasefire.

So why doesn't Hollywood just hire Ryan to read through scripts before they even get close to production? Save a lot of money from all these box office bombs.

Box Office Success Bombs. The movies made nowadays make their money back but the soul isn’t there.

Many of the movies he covers were massive successes. His nitpicking style is entertaining but if a movie bombs depends on a lot of other things - hence he wouldn't be all to useful. Heck in theory Hollywood is filled with famous and proven experts to make good movies.
