Nah mate, they explain that. Basically it's they say "without the mind, the body dies". Which is why people can die in the matrix and also why people need to be in the matrix in the first place. Coma patients barely have any bodily activity. The bodies of people who are in the Matrix are pretty dang active. They show that in that movie too. Sometimes these pitch meetings bend the truth a little bit to create a good laugh, which is definitely fair enough.

You could also argue that the agents, basically pawns, were being intentionally cautious at first so as to not cause people in the Matrix to start questioning what was going on with reality. As Neo became more of a threat, their overlords let them be more reckless.

They did explain that, but you know movie reasoning Now, after 6 years as a care-taker for my mother, house bound pre pandemic, pandemic, and post pandemic, my vitamin deficiencies are so ridiculously out of hand, I actually laughed at the Vitamin D numbers they were so unreal. Didn't make me think of the Matrix tho, I was more questioning the possibility of extended space travel for humans Until this pitch meeting
