as a fellow maus enjoyer i have a small tips for upcoming maus players u want to position urself in such a way that u hide the left side of ur turret (from ur POV), this is because ur gunner is located there if u manage to do so u r now much harder to kill because sub-caliber AP cannot hit ur hidden gunner, just dont get cocky becuz u r not fast inaff to react to incoming flankers without precognitions and situational awareness+teammates

Update to maus grind, 5 freaking painful days without premium account or golden eagles and I now have 15k rp left for maus, I had to research a panther before being able to reaserch maus so I spent a day grinding out that 31k rp (sucked so freaking much) and now I’m almost done with maus like damn this game is really something

yes, but the APHE-DS is easier to aim and let u shoot T95 thru the UFP, T32 and T26E5 thru the turret if they r hulldown, etc but mostly the easier to aim-hit weakspots the issue with the 128mm is that its shell is so big its very likely to get scammed by volumetric, the APHE-DS is smaller so its less likely to get fucked over by it which is more of a game design problem than the gun problem as a guy who manage to ace the maus in 2 months i use the APHE-DS all the time, sure the smaller HE filler does suck but 9/10 times ppl get 1-tapped by the 88mm anyway

A little advice for new maus players: the pzgr 43 is better than the apds aphe far better damage and angle pen. plus this could just be me but i feel at range that the apds round deviates a lot
