Me too. Didn’t like her in both the books and movies. And in books they say that Teresa’s memories were never wiped off. She knew everything from the beginning to end. She even knew that WICKED were the ones who released the virus in first place. In the books before going into the maze Thomas found out about this and this caused a rift between them. And she had betrayed Thomas before going into the maze too. Thomas had tried to stop the whole maze and she rat him out to WICKED so she got to keep her memories.

Some people don’t understand the stages of krank here they are 1: mild headaques eye problems agressivness excessive aggressiveness 2: the same just amplified 3: will be extremely weak bad health black liquid replaces blood and vomit etc and extreme mood swings 4: the same just added self harm 5:zombie mode and the self harm gets replaced by black weak skin 6: they go underground ( most common ) They root themselves into the ground and fall asleep and eat barely nothing 7: they nearly disintegrate and become plant like , but they can still wake up

The reason why Teresa is so useless in this movie is she’s not supposed to be in most of it. She gets taken in the beginning to be swapped out with Ari. Pops up briefly betraying Thomas and then I think he sees her at the end. Can’t remember. They added her I assume for the whole love interest/triangle aspect. Plus this whole movie is supposed to be another test, to assess their endurance. Not sure on that though only read it once. They changed the beginning completely which ruined the whole plot.

I read the books once and now I'm rereading them but to be honest it never bothered me that much that they changed the plot for the 2nd (and 3rd) movie. And believe me, usually I get really pissed if the source material gets butchered ( *glares at Percy Jackson and Avatar The Last Airbender movies from a distance* ) but I just went with it when I watched the movies. Because I know that Wes Ball actually cared about the movies and books, even asked James Dashner what he could leave out and what he definitely had to include when he made the first movie. I understand that he had to make changes to the second movie. It's been a while since I read the 2nd book (currently on book 1, getting close to finishing it) so I can't remember that much of the plot apart from the key details but I do think I remember that it would have probably been a pain in the ass to try to stay true to the book. I think, personally, Teresa being there in the movie was because it made the betrayal that much more painful. And without her being there WCKD wouldn't have found them which would have changed the 3rd movie even more. In the end, I get why people don't like it. Most of the time I just remind myself that the movies and the books are two seperate things - which is good. At least for me. Because the movies on their own aren't that bad.

The movies change the entire plot line and just use the same characters, especially in The Scorch Trials. Yes the movies are very good but it isn't maze runner. Please read the books they are pretty short and make way more sense than the movies. If you like action, suspense, and a dark story line than the series is great for you. We had to wait a good bit of time in between this movie and the next one. the first was released in 2014 the second in 2015, the 3rd was suppose to be released in 2017 but they had to postpone until 2018 because Dylan O'Brien (Thomas) was injured on set.
