The fact that the costumes from Mean Girls 1 aged so well, and the costumes in Mean Girls 2 aged so HORRIBLY is kind of a testament to how great the original was. Also, WHY were they calling themselves "The Plastics"?!?! In the first movie, "Plastics" is a nickname Janis came up with to make fun of Regina and her friends, and it was strictly an inside joke between Janis, Damian and Cady. They weren't ACTUALLY walking around calling themselves "The Plastics"

Idk when these Claire-esque items were ever in, but I think they were attempting the whole 2012ish, every-girl-looks-like-a-30-yo-secretary thing, which WAS, unfortunately, a style. 😅 Remember when near every girl owned a huge owl necklace, and wore a tiered patterned shirt with the stupid short little cardigans, pants, and a messy bun? Flannels over tanks, or the blousey shirts with the tiny tie at the bottom with wedges. Short, tiered or poofy dresses, infinity scarves and uggs. Yeah. I think it's definitely *attempting* that and failing even worse than the people in HS did when they actually did this. 😂 If I could insert photos, you'd know exactly the fashion era I'm talking about. They poorly re-made that look which was already bad, but it's still uncannily similar. Look up 'high school fashion in 2012' and you'll see some outfits that look adjacent to the ones in this movie. Every teen in the 2010's looked like a 30 yo secretary for yeeeeaaaarrrs, but I think 2012 is where they really pulled from lmao. 😂 Wonder what year they made this movie. I watched Mean Girls for the first time just last night. I was honestly dreading it, but came out of the film having had a great time and genuinely enjoying it. So seeing this video’s thumbnail and finding out THIS existed brought an insane amount of dread into my fragile heart. If it wasn’t for Jamie I would’ve just started laying on my bed and staring at the ceiling for half an hour.

The original movie was actually really good.

I have so many questions...why would you dread watching a bonified classic like Mean Girls? And why would you force yourself to watch a movie that you're already dreading??
@ksy4747 Жыл бұрын
@shannon celeste I was also ignoring the movie for a while after it came out. It came out I think a year after I graduated from high school and I just wasn't really vibing with my generation at the time so I thought it would be a dumb teen movie with all the things I hated from early 2000s. But then I did watch it one night (maybe couple of years after it came out) as it was on TV and fell in love with it. It definitely stands the test of time for me. Now I love to rewatch it for nostalgia of the very thing I avoided at the time, mainly the terrible fashion and the music haha

I watched this when it first came out and I was so disappointed back then 😂 literally all the girls were from random Disney shows. Honestly this wouldn’t have been hated as much if it wasn’t marketed as a sequel to the original. Most Disney movies from this era were just as bad…
@kikigam71132 ай бұрын
I honestly think if it was in Disney channel and they made it a kids movie it wouldve been received better they would've gotten compared to mean girls and it would've been like a mean girls for a different generation

So as someone who has used industrial strength many things....yes that glue would not have been viable by morning at all. Even Gorilla Glue and E6000 would have cured by the time she got on it. The glue WOULD still destroy the seat but if it weren't dry by morning it certainly wouldn't be dry by the time she got to school. Some do take several days to cure but again...those wouldn't have glued her to the bike like that by any means just utterly destroyed her clothing and Vespa seat. 😐

I'm so glad that I don't have to watch Mean Girls 2, thank you Jaime for going through this torture so I don't have to. The "pathetically blind" cutaway was hilarious, your comedic timing is fantastic. The sequel is like a Disney Channel original movie with swearing (mild swearing, if that). The Plastics in this film are cartoonishly villainous, Mandi fails on what made Regina so relatable. Regina could be a real person with how underhanded and genuinely mean she is, how she takes such pleasure in destroying people's relationships. Well, thank god that most of the actors in this film ended up going onto better projects. For example: Claire Holt (Chastity in the film) ended up playing Rebekah in The Vampire Diaries/The Originals.
