Indulgences are hard to get though. Or at least it seems that way. How would you know that you're attached to even a venial sin? If you even eat too much of something it can be gluttonous. Idk, it seems difficult but I try daily. I'm reading this book called The Catechism Explained. It lists catholic prayers and ways to gain indulgences. I haven't finished the book yet but I started the prayers/conditions as soon as I came across them in the book (definitely an awesome read guys, I'm learning so many little things that I didn't know😳).

St. Teresa said it was a horror to commit a DELIBERATE Venial sin. In our fallen state, "the just man falls 7 times a day", there are inadvertent Venial sins, sins that arise from weakness, thoughtlessness and stupidity. There's a vast difference between deliberate and thoughtlessness.

I give my breath and heartbeat for Our Lord Jesus. Physical death does not frighten me. You see, I was Apostate for 30 yrs, 30 yrs I existed in a living death. Our Lord brought me back from the dead when I went to confession and came back to Holy Mother Church. All that matters to me now is doing Penance every moment of every day. I pray Novenas constantly to ask God to make me Holy so that when I stop breathing I can go right to Heaven, never to be separated from Our Lord Jesus ever again not even for a nanosecond.

I think it’s good to live as long as God desires you to live. The longer your life the more you can do penance , make reparation, pray the rosary , pray for your relatives and families, friends & make up for your past sins by doing good to and for others. My Mom is 88 years old and she has touched many people in her long life and she still continues to touch hearts. So I actually disagree about old age is a curse . It can be a true blessing if you embrace it .

I literally dreamt of my grandmother last night, who by the way is 98, and she said to me," I watched the holy mass 6 times today and I'm praying for the salvation of all my children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren." I was in awe.. I know my grandma gets lonely and tired. My grandfather has passed long ago and all her sisters have passed. She realizes that though she's up in age and tired, God still has work for her to do here. I'm grateful for her. Her sacrifices of loneliness and longing to be with our Lord already are offered with the intentions of all of my family to come to Christ. She has the authority to consecrate us all and fight for us all.

Wonderful talk , I loved it . Reparation, Penance & Atonement & Prayer are very important . Spiritually adopting babies is a good way to make atonement for the Abortions being committed as well. You can pray for the intention of making atonement for the wrong done to console the Heavenly Father and his Mother. God has sent these babies to us as a gift of love & every hair on their head is numbered. God sent them to be loved and nurtured , not to be killed . Forgive us Lord .

I use to live at the beach and never thought about it, but now that I have been living in the woods. The wife and I packed a lunch and went to Kennebunkport for confession. We went to the beach for lunch and it was filled with people in their bathing suits . I turned to the wife, “can we go somewhere else for lunch?”

This is So Timely! I just screamed at a family member (I know that type of anger is wrong!) bc of the widely held sloppy concept - "well, I confessed a sin and BOOM I am done w the need of Repentance." I was in a bad mood that day (admittedly needed to let off steam after hearing the Media DECLARE a new Pres. Elect) but maybe I was also angry that I too have sinned in a sexually DEGENERATE way. Meaning my husband and I have (while not using chemical birth control) indulged in sexual activity while not being open to life. That is Grave / Mortal sin and I am SICK of people thinking erroneously that after you are married it is a "free for all"! I have confessed it (and we are the parents of 7 kids) but still feel the need to Repent / go to God to repair the Damage of this type of Disordered Thinking!

There's a clerk at our pharmacy . . . this lady has a talent for getting things wrong, backward, saying "up" when it's down; "in" when it's out . . . This morning when I had to get an RX for hubs, guess who I had to wait on me? I thought of saying to her, "please go get someone else to wait on me," but then I thought of these talks. Then I said to myself, "I'll just put up with whatever comes my way, and if I have to go elsewhere because she told me wrong (which I know she will), well . . . praise God!" Then I thought again, "Wait! if I have to come back and/or drive all over town, then hubs will be stuck waiting, too, and that will upset him. (He's not a Catholic and he stresses out easily). I'd better just go ahead and ask her for another clerk, but in the very nicest way I know how." I tried hard not to hurt her feelings when I said it. I got one of the pharmacists, instead, and things went swimmingly; I got what he needs without endless hassles, and hubs was happy to have his RX.

I enjoyed this talk more than I can express--it was truly inspired by the Holy Spirit! Thank you for the reminder that indulgences are a storehouse, I think it'll help me explain them to others. If I'm understanding them (and finances lol) correctly, it's like: a person (Christ) earns wealth (grace) throughout their life (His Life, Passion, Death and Resurrection), and puts it in a savings account (the Church) where it earns deposit dividends (graces earned by the saints by uniting their lives to His). Don't worry, protestants! The saints don't earn grace through their own merit any more than an empty account will earn dividends; only the original deposit makes all future deposits, albeit minute, possible. So the person passes away (Christ's Ascension) and leaves their life savings to some obscure poor relative (us), with some small condition (pious acts) such as an age limit or that a portion goes to college tuition or a charity (praying a Rosary, visiting a cemetery, etc). The lawyer (pope) dispenses the inheritance according to the instructions of the will (guidance of the Holy Spirit). So the Church and popes don't invent indulgences any more than the bank and lawyer invent an inheritance--it's always been there because of the person with the savings account, and simply needs to be distributed according to said person's intentions.

It’s quite wrong to suggest that Christ advocates penance. Christ teaches dramatic change in life. Renunciation of the material life - work, family, property, children, in favour of undertaking the life of a pilgrim on the path to salvation of the soul, so there is no role or purpose in penance. Confession is the process whereby one acknowledges self as sinner, renunciation is the activity undertaken to eliminate all tendencies to sin from one’s psyche. The idea of “penance” belongs in the world of delusion. The idea behind “penance” is to pay for your sins so they won’t still be on the books when you find yourself in front of the Galilean fisherman who the church tells you will let you in to heaven if you’ve done your time on earth. So penance is to stop you running off on some fool’s errand in search of bliss-consciousness - salvation - and keep your nose to the grindstone to support the church and it’s corporate patrons. And when it gets really heavy these evil people tell you Christ has paid for your sins with his crucifiction, so you are doubly covered

It is not social justice the Church is standing against. Black Lives Matter the organization (not the phrase) is a Marxist company. Marxism is EVIL. Period. Not only did it lead to around 100 million deaths around the world in the last century, but it has killed many more souls. I know the term Marxism is being thrown around a lot right now, but if you are curious as to what it means, I would spend the $6 to actually buy Karl Marx's most foundational book, The "Communist Manifesto." Or if you are curious about what the Catholic Church as to say about Marxism, read Pope Leo XXIII's two encyclicals: "Quod Apostolici Muneris" and "Rerum novarum." Or if you are still unconvinced or uncertain after reading Marx's political theory, I would suggest any of his biographies or Paul Kegnor's "The Devil and Karl Marx." The man was seriously disturbed and his writings are explicitly anti-Catholic, not only by his ideas but by his own hatred for the Catholic Church and constant mocking of our Lady. The Movement makes no move to distance or renounce the Organization, therefore, a Catholic cannot support BLM without becoming complacent in the destruction of souls, which is infinitely worse than any social injustice.
