This is just extremely sad, I used to always play Meepcity in early 2016 with my Dad. We would fish, and buy cool houses and castles. Making cool houses with football colours and party floors everywhere. It's really sad to see a safe haven filled with nothing but fun core memories turn into an infested junkyard. I'll likely never return unless things get better, Meepcity was once a good game. But It's time to move on.

I actually feel terrible for Meepcity. Not for Alex, not for the ODers, but for the place itself. I remember joining Meepcity when it was first released, back before parties were created. Hell, I even remember playing as a guest in that game. And as I’m reading other comments and seeing how this game was seen as a whole-hearted memory for us all, I just can’t help but feel sad watching a game that we all loved fall so far down that it can’t even be helped anymore.

Like I said on a previous video… Remember that all the backlash, bypassing, inappropriate behavior and party removal on Meep City could have easily been prevented if Alex hired a Moderation team or a working report system instead of being stubborn and relying on Roblox knowing damn well Roblox reports back then were trashy and always punished the wrong/innocent people 95% of the time. He was already making a living on Meep City regardless, the player count averaged insane numbers combined with 95% of players buying the Plus gamepass for parties and other cool benefits, so his team could easily be paid with Robux or Irl Money. Not to mention, Meep City was featured multiple times from Roblox and I think even had sponsorships and MULTIPLE toys (just looked this up and there was like 9 toys related to Meep City lmfao, all between 7 to SIXTY dollars depending on the retailer 💀), AND was the first ever Roblox game to hit 1 Billion visits lmao

There are a lot of other games on Roblox that are making the mistake of ignoring or feeding into bad communities. While their communities aren't necessarily breaking TOS (like Da Hood), it still honestly drives away new players from their games.. And it goes without saying that if you don't get enough new players then your game will inevitably die. The same can happen to PvP games with a overly positive feedback loop (aka games that have too much of a unique skill, grinding, and/or p2w demand,) but that's not what this video was about

One of my best (or my only one, lol) MeepCity memories was trying to get the giant gift, but my brother insisted that I get the small one. I got the Traveling House item. This all happened when I was in the 4th grade. The last time I touched the game was maybe in the 5th grade, just to play the kart racing. Then i got addicted to Bee Swarm Simulator but woke up during the summer of 6th grade. Since then, I have barely touched Roblox. I think the removal of Parties really showed players of the game just how little Meepcity itself had to offer beyond that The parties really were shown to be the main staple of the game and so when they were removed there was really nothing left for players to do in the game Really the only things you could do were Sell and Catch fish, adopt a Meep, upgrade your house, or play Starball and Kart Racing (Which keep in mind haven't been updated in years) If Alexnewtron wants to try and make up for the crap he's done and keep his game relevant, he has to give Meepcity something new. Like update the starball and kart racing games, add more stuff for players to do, and generally just fix up the game and make it actually fun

I liked the parties. (Please note that i did hate the sexual parts of it.) So, as a kid, i used to make fnaf parties in meepcity and i ignored the sexual parties. so i was upset that parties got removed because the parties were kinda a way for me to socialize with people who also liked fnaf. not saying i cant do that anymore, but it just felt alot easier to connect with people who also likes the same things as me.

It was really sad to see the drastic change in the game but sadly it had to be done, I wish they brought back the parties but knowing the risks they could’ve also made it more safer, the game feels a little different yet sorta dead in some ways, heck the parties were the best feature but sadly it gone.

meep city was so fun for me as a child, i remember making undertale sans parties and roleplaying in meepcity and i loved it when i got so many people in my house, and i loved fishing and customising my pet and just walking around the neighbourhood and going to parties to roleplay, it was basically like roblox club penguin for me but more fun

alexnewtron had this one coming for a long time. This video just goes to show that, thanks to him refusing to moderate his own game, MeepCity became rotten to the core. Even after the ban, these degens refuse to give up.

I loved meepcity when I was a kid. I didn't notice any of the creepy stuff until I heard of it years later. I remember saving up to buy the castle, rp with my sister, making the perfect meep. The nostalgic stuff.

4:21 I have to agree a lot with how players have only gotten worse. I was going to make a documentary on KZbin where I interview players from online daters to the average everyday player. I, unfortunately, did not upload it due to the long recording and the steps I took to stop posting and delete most of my videos. However, one of my interviews that caught my attention was one with a user with an all-black avatar with the n-word slur on the shirt they were wearing. This user changed their avatar before the interview but little did they know I recorded everyone before the interview and recorded the user changing their avatar. They said they did not know about the online daters invading the game, condo-like games at parties, and the owner which I doubt. Most of those I interviewed looked like the "average" female avatars today with revealing "Y2K" outfits, not inappropriate but very revealing. However, these users seemed to be against online dating and did not like how the game progressed and the owners were genuinely kind and respectful. I was lucky to not come across any users that were not under what I believe to be 13 or at least it was not obvious any of them were under 13.

I used to love meepcity I used to play it with my old friends, and it was super fun since we would costplay, roleplay, or just have oufit battles and have fun, but now i have no words for what it's become.But it was funny me just entering the parties and just stealing ppls oufits that had wings since you had to pay for plus and then afterwards go out running so they wouldnt ban me from the party. But honestly, seeing the parties for the first time, i was SHOCKED seeing shirtles men, girls almost showing theirs yk what, and just worse stuff in general. But there were always good parties like those parties that were just for fun and for costplaying that wasn't sexuallized.
