My father passed away two years from cancer. Today would have been his 55th birthday. This video was exactly what I needed. It always helps to know you’re not the only one that goes through hard times. Bless you Mark and your family. Bless your brother in heaven.

@Reality Programmer Yeah man. It's touching when I listen to mark talk about it too, you can hear the pain in his voice and how he's trying to hold back the tears and he keeps a smile on his face.

Me and my brother suffer from this my brothers doing pretty good but I tend to go into isolation and beat my own ass mentally I've achieved some great things but that bipolar shit always progresses I try not to make excuses always trying to stand back up always get strong again I know I'll hit some sort of peak then shit comes crashing down again I'm seeking therapy before I die alone I'm a pretty cool dude I know my potential i also compete in strongman hopefully it all works out because regardless of whatever illness I have I will die doing what I love I always remained goal oriented I will never quit trying I don't exactly understand why things are this way it wasn't always like this but I know I have a heart of a champion. Thank you for the motivation I look up to you a lot I'm in Sacramento I need to make it out to west sac to train with you sometime. Your brother is definitely proud of the great man you are. Keep up the good work

Mark, your philosophy on how to best honor those who’ve passed is something that I’ve found to be very helpful when dealing with death. Taking that persons best quality, and trying to mimic it in yourself. It’s a great way to stay positive in a shitty situation.

It’s always nice to see guys like mark being real, humble and just wanting to make the world a better place. The entire bell family is what we should all try to strive for as Americans.... helping each other through thick and thin.

My sister is in prison, she is bipolar and has had drug and alcohol problems for a long time. To be honest I’ve had a to of hatred for who she has become. Felt like you were speaking directly to me. Thanks for sharing, it makes a difference.

I tell you Mark this video really hit home. I lost my mom and dad this year, 9 months apart. My work and gym family were there and don’t know if I could have made it without them. Also bout 2 weeks ago went in the gym not feeling it and blew my back out deadlifting. I knew in my mind not to do it but like you that energy pushed me. I’m feeling better and back at it. May even do my 1st ever push/pull next spring.

Hey Mark, you are a great inspiration and I have a lot of respect for you as a lifter and as a man, so I mean no disrespect when I ask you this. But do you think steroid use has anything to do with any of your injuries? Not sure if you were using during your biceps tear or pec tear. Just wanted your or anyone else thoughts on this subject. By the way, you are a great advocate for health, lifting, and love your openness on the mental health issues your brother suffer with. God Bless

@@supertraining06 thank you for your response. I know it plays a big part in powerlifting and I've recently gotten in powerlifting over the last year. Love the sport and just wondering was the benefit of the steroids and what it provided worth the possible negative effects it may have had on the body. And by the way, you body transformations over the years are incredible

Geared lifting is daft as hell. It's no wonder raw powerlifting has seen an astronomical surge in popularity in recent years. Especially looking at that shirted 805 bench press at 6:20. Mark hadn't even locked his right arm out before the spotters took it.
