A fictional drama of a meeting between Martin Luther King, Jr. and Malcolm X.

They first showed us this short, fictional movie about a meeting between Malcolm X and Dr. Martin Luther King in high school. It stirred debate and opened eyes of a group of young black males, sitting in a classroom, unsure of their future as well as their past. Well worth the hour and four minutes. Shalom

This is so powerful on so many levels. Both of these great Black men were absolutely brilliant. It’s just a shame that they were taken away from us so young. 😢

"By Any Means Necessary" one of the great lines in American history!!!!!!!
@wehaveasituation5 жыл бұрын
But it's a completely bogus logic. Genocide, after all, is a means. So is murder. The Bolsheviks believed--and imposed--the By Any Means Necessary (which is really End Justify Means) and they were the worst murderers in modern history.

@@dwightlove3704 Why not what? You mean why not By Any Means Necessary? Because as I pointed out, it's simply depraved to indulge in sheer criminality in order to promote what you feel to be justified. From John Brown murdering total strangers as they exited a church in Kansas, to Nat Turner slaughtering babies in cribs in Virginia, to the SLA planting a bomb at the San Francisco Opera, murder is murder, and is essentially criminal and depraved.

@@wehaveasituation Henry, Jefferson, Washington all indulged in the SLAVE TRADE which means the obvious they were beneficiaries of the collective suffering of black ppl.I never saw Chinese ppl being lynched like Black ppl although they were forced to work on the trains for which they never received any historic credit.The Chinese never had to deal with the KKK or Jim Crow or having their children stolen from them by Europeans.I never saw them being forced to prove that they were human by a group of ppl who's very existence they owe to us.The White Americans used violence to gain their so-called freedom from their ancestors on European soil.Who are you to tell us we as a ppl don't have the right to fight for our freedom as a whole.The Muslims who are you to call them fraudulent and MARCUS GARVEY preached RACIAL PRIDE AND INDEPENDENCE among black ppl worldwide what is wrong with that.Garvey was never involved in a cross burning,lynching,out right murder in fact a movie is coming out about him this month needless to say I plan on seeing it.

Fantastic play, fantastic work. This helps me to see more clearly that, although their very different life experiences gave rise to quite different ideologies, they both had love in their hearts, especially for their families and for future generations. Anyone who can't see that in the scene with the gift, I hope gives themselves the time to deepening their understanding of what love is.

A very significant and poignant moment in this great play is the giving and acceptance of a doll created by Dr. King's nine year old daughter, Yolanda as a gift to Malcolm X. This wonderful and thoughtful act of sharing seemed to disrupt any intellectual barriers between the two men, drawing them closer together; more over providing substance from another freedom fighter, Che Guevara, who said that "The foundation of any true liberation is self- love"!

Even though is fictionalized, I honestly can't help but have this eerie feeling that an encounter like this did happen at some point, and with the knowledge that we have about everything that was going on in America (Black America specifically) during this time, how do we know something like this didn't happen? I admired both of these men.In my opinion both of these men are right and wrong and equally all men are not created equal. Both of these men ideologies are quite different but it cuts straight to the chase one is for equality the other is for self defense by using your brain your intellect to overcome to not bow down to those whom degrading you or your kind that's not intelligent at all.Its nonviolence versus action: extreme action when its required and requirement does not need anyone approval if it means stopping the enemy in his tracks. This debate in my opinion could last forever but the important outcome from this is that the men agreed there should be an united front with these two great minds coming together there is something astounding from this I will bet there were heading towards to the united nations for an world meeting rather than something trivial. they were thinking completely around the box instead of the exception. An meeting of the greatest minds in one place for one common goal that's world peace and order I guess other important issues at hand too.In my opinion the FBI expected this in the long haul it was just a question of when: and where the meeting between the two would be held and more importantly what would bring them together and yes why should they not meet the meeting was destined to happen. Those brain act's suspected it but did not what to expected ain't that right sarge.

+YouBastard The same person who infiltrated Malcolm's inner circle also brought down the Panthers but no one knew about him.
@YouBastard950608 жыл бұрын
As far as I know the BPP was under assault by the police and intel community of the US. NOT a single person. A singe person was perhaps responsible for showing the CPD where Fred Hampton slept so they could assassinate him quickly but that person WAS NOT responsible for all disruption activities or intel on all Black Panther hqs. Malcolm's operation was simpler to infiltrate because it didn't have chapters everywhere, and was a much smaller organization. Plus the leadership of the NOI wanted him dead. I was politically active teen in NY in the 60s and 70s in NY and got to watch the whole COINTELPRO op up close and personal. The SMALL antiwar org I was in had been infiltrated by at least 4 informers including 2 NYPD officers, and a couple of John Birchers, one of whom, George Demmerle, was responsible for putting Sam Melvile in prison at Attica, where he was killed in the Attica riots. That was out of a core membership of perhaps 20 people. So you can extrapolate how many agents had infiltrated the BPP. The NYPD Red Squad (officially "Bureau of Special Services) stalked me and with the help of the feds threatened my dad's Mil NASA security clearance. The organization did Guerrilla Theater. so you can imagine the level of infiltration and disruption if you were even suggesting arming people.

+YouBastard I have that book by Cobb I listened to a speech made by a man named Dr.Umar Johnson saying that King was influenced by ppl in his inner circle such as Baynard Rushdin a admitted homosexual who believed in non-violent social reform a idea trumpeted by Ghandi but Dr.Johnson said that Ghandi was not an ally of black ppl it was said that he was an avowed enemy of African ppl native and foreign born.

@aaromotivestudio38697 жыл бұрын
OaklandLYM How is it awful? I'm making an analogy. It didn't HAVE to include comic book characters in it.
@LyndonLaRoucheArchive7 жыл бұрын
Its a very bad comparison, mostly because you're taking a fictional situation which the film here is and taking it literally, but its not your fault. Its unlikely that you've had any exposure to the classic literature MLK referenced in his speeches and writings.
@aaromotivestudio38697 жыл бұрын
OaklandLYM FYI 1) I know this didn't literally happen. 2) Second I do know the thoughts and perspectives of the real Dr King and Malcolm X (I've listened to their speeches and conversations withothers), and I know how they differed with eachother. On that note 3) that was the reason for my analogy; 'cause like the stupid characters in the comics I mentioned earlier, Malcolm and Martin didn't see eye to eye, or agree with eachother (in real life) on how to achieve progress for their people, the black man, and sometimes Malcolm (and this is the truth) would even criticize Dr. King because his teachings and philosophies on non-violenc seemed inferior compared to his own, but I suppose I wouldn't expect somebody who wouldn't dare waste his time with a comic book to understand where I'm going with it. Plus since this whole conversation is a fictional account (didn't really happen between King and X), then what's it to you that I used fictional characters to make an analogy with two historical figures presented in a fictional account to make an analogy?
@LyndonLaRoucheArchive7 жыл бұрын
I used to own a massive comic collection, then I grew up and got rid of them all. Time for you to do likewise. Leave comic land enter the real world.

The Grand White Lie!!!!!!!
@YouBastard950608 ай бұрын
The part that's missing is the setup at the beginning showing 2 fbi agents, black and white, with headphones and tape recorder listening. The white agent is making comments about King as a communist troublemaker and you can see the black agent's unease, and sympathy for King. I suspect the FBI was involved in making that opening sequence vanish. After all, they tried to stop the 60s comedy movie The President's Analyst from being distributed because it made the FBI look like murderous clowns. Hoover didn't succeed, but despite the movie's popularity, it never got a second run in theaters anywhere.
