2.45 may have been your (A) goal but 2:48, around a 3 minute PB, is definitely an awesome (B) goal. Really well done Dave! Keep up the great work. I'm super excited to do my first Marathon next year at Gold Coast, only my times will be nothing like that!

Sub 2:50 is so brilliant. Congrats! You should be so proud of your time. It was a warm day - especially for those of us running for over 4 hours (!) - and you did well to push through the cramps

Your positivity and upbeat vibe is refreshing. Not many can run sub 2:50. I had similar issues to you until one day it just clicked. Try arriving on the Friday to settle in and relax more. Eat carbs for lunch and dinner but be mindful that this effects your magnesium and potassium levels.

Still a big congrats is in order, the block to get you there and the victory lap around Melbourne. Yeah the time you didn’t want but I can imagine like me hungry for more and see what the next takes you. I fell in the same boat a little, ran the half an snaged a pretty decent PB. Would have liked to go a little faster though, still had some really good positives come out out it though. Rest up recovery well and back to it 💪 Cremorne is the best. Been in the area for a number of years and being able to run to the tan in 5 mins is just so good! Well done again, hope your enjoyed your time in Melbourne.

I did the Melb half on Sunday and I just managed to get my goal of sub two hours - there was a bit of wind and the sun was gruelling for a bit (although no doubt you’re used to this training on the GC 😂). The drink stations should have been placed at Albert park as I was in the pain cave in the direct sun 🥵I’m sorry you didn’t get your time but you should be so proud - it wasn’t easy! You inspired me on many a treadmill interval session 😊
