You are so right, my son was murdered because of his music and he wrote music for other artists. He was told to add some cussing and killing to the words of the songs. These so called rappers used my son for their own selfish reasons and then my son told me that they made him put those words in their, I Raised my children up in the church and with them meeting the wrong people made him turn from serving Father God. I'm so hurt behind Michael Jefferson Humacide and others that really knew my son said it was the company that he kept. I appreciate your support and messages that you give to us. The music industry knows what they’re doing to the black community through music. It’s intentional. I was watching a video of a rapper who compared the music of today to “crack in the 80s”... Damn near the same effect, destroying the black community.

Tony is right about the music. I stopped listening to secular music at the beginning of the year and the difference it has made is noticeable. I feel at more peace now that I only listen to christian music(which there are so many genres. I had no idea 😅). I feel like I think better now and really connect with the words in the songs about God and Jesus. I have had a few slip ups of listening to my old playlist every once in a while but I’m a work in progress. What I’ve noticed in the difference between secular music and christian music is that secular music influences the mind but it doesn’t touch the soul. Whereas christian music speaks to the heart and feels pure. When I listen to secular music all I hear is words. And words can influence you on a subconscious level. It feels like a distraction. The words feel like a spell whereas the christian music has meaning on a deeper level and has really had a positive impact on the way I see myself and helped my relationship with God.

R. - secular music appeals to your flesh... your feelings... your soul - good and “bad.” It can get you in a “mood.” It can open your soul to do and think things that aren’t necessarily “bad” but that put you in a vulnerable position. Turn it off. YOU lead your emotions. Don’t let your feelings/emotions to lead. Command your emotions to line up in purity. Don’t let them be led around by a leash by what you hear.
