As a woman, I was once addicted to it.. I had to stop cold turkey and it’s now been close to a year. The clarity and self control is unreal! God has really carried me and through breaking my addiction to both the videos and self pleasure, I was able to get over my ex/child’s father and heal from a lot of prior trauma. It used to be so bad that anytime I would meet someone new, I would imagine them in the act of s*x. I can’t even believe I’m typing this, but hopefully my testimony can help others in the position I used to be in. Also, I’m wondering if it was a spirit as both of my exes had addictions to it as well. I’m just glad to be free from it. The accuracy in the message! I should not have ignored the red flags when I arrived home and my ex was viewing the videos on his phone. He claimed that he wanted me to view it with him. I took offense! This turned into me checking his phone to find that he had various videos of different types favorited on a certain website. He minimized it earlier on in our relationship, and then later on admitted to having an addiction. It definitely caused insecurities on my part. I will never subject myself to a man that engages in that type of behavior again, even if it means staying single for the remainder of my days in this physical body!

Tony, am muslim. We are taught not to shake a man's hands. I was told that the woman hand is soft and some men get aroused once they touch a women's hands. It's also common in Africa for women not to shake a man's hands.

For a while i was addicted to masterbation and i would justify it by telling myself that at least im not out having sex with different men. I took time to reevaluate my life and was able to overcome that feeling and lust. Now i just focus on bettering myself in other ways like education. What helped me was wayching everyone else who were consumed by sex ans realizing im no different just bcuz its masterbation. I didnt want to be like them, and it helped me get rid of the addiction really fast. I feel empowered by not doing it anymore and not needing it too. Just wished there was alot of people in my generation like that. Im 22, and sex is in everything these days.

Pornography is way too accessible and in many ways the extent of arousal doesn't stop....you can easily go further and further down a rabbit hole looking for new ways to be stimulated as you continue to get desensitized to the images and then anything goes.
