Was very interesting. Her skin and hair looked so healthy, as does yours. I'm 63 and have worried about receding hair for years and trying out anything and everything to keep it. It's been like a losing battle. Listening to you since lockdown, seems there is only one solution. My dread is the Dr reaction after so many have had negativity from the GPs. Ever since I was told 'I was the walking well' decades ago I never went back 🤔. It scared me as I wasn't the type to rush to the surgery for nothing. This is why I have tried so hard thru kinesiology and a nutritionist for so long. I feel great apart from my hair.

I had breast cancer aged 38. It was an oestrogen dependant tumour & i took Tamoxifen for 5 years. I am now 54 & have had fairly severe menopausal symptoms since age 48. I have coped with this myself with no medication. listening to your talks on HRT & how much safer it is now it has made me see it differently. However i feel for someone like myself it would not necessarily be a good idea as i feel replacing oestrogen could possibly cause a recurrence of my cancer? Thank you for your wellbeing site & frequent blogs as it has been a lifeline to me as someone who perhaps is not suitable for hormonal treatments. It is a long road but i am lucky to be alive as i had an aggressive form of breast cancer & had 2 operations, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, Herceptin & Tamoxifen.

Would recommend having a listen of Liz's podcast with Kirsty Lang who also had ER-positive breast cancer. She discusses her experience in depth here: lizearlewellbeing.com/podcasts-videos/podcast/breast-cancer-and-hrt-with-kirsty-lang/

I have a question that i can't seem to get answered, if you please. Does your labia QUIT SHRINKING or does it keep shrinking until death or menopausal symptoms subside. I've noticed SOME shrinkage...i'm post 14 yrs and just now my hot flushes have become inconsistent. Which i hope is a good sign. I"m turning 59. I would appreciate your awesome answers and help with this. Thank you!

How does the thumbnail match the content here? Heard very little, to nothing, from Liz Earle about her menopause journey and a whole lot of...(well, won't repeat myself - have already left my opinion about this lady's input here).

Jayne wilkinson - excuse me for butting in. But I have read expert & medical advice re menopause & bioidentical HRT (better, than the standard type estrogen/estradiol,IMO), and just wanted to say that the medical consensus (IF HRT is 'right' for you (can benefit your overall health) is DON'T wait too long - especially don't wait until AFTER menopause, because you have a limited window of time to take advantage of HRT. This is because with the lessening of estradiol and progesterone, and other androgens, these hormone receptors in the body begin to shrink & disappear....a case of 'use it or lose it'. It is unsafe to take these hormones as HRT once the body's hormone receptors have 'dried up', so-to-speak. Once these receptors are basically 'gone' exogenous HRT hormones have no receptors to hook up with and will roam around free in the bloodstream where they don't belong. there was a large, recent HRT study done that concluded with these findings - WHEN HRT is begun & continued with the presence of healthy & active hormone receptors, makes ALL the difference.

I don't agree with much of her statements - from her ideas on menopause, and women's health & HRT in general. She has a tendency to take a good point that has some relavance then completely generalize it across the board. Her analogies... making a big deal comparing the states of puberty, to childhood hormonal states,(or lack thereof), to menopause were, lame (not amusing, IMO) & somewhat ridiculous...again, just my opinion. Especially her generalizations across the board about the supplement industry (true that many, MANY are inconsistent in labeling that does not match what's inside the packaging), BUT bc of this, with her tendency to black/white thinking and generalizing - she portrays ALL supplement companies as being so unregulated to the point that they all take advantage they are not FDA regulated, and we cannot rely on ANY to provide quality contents that matches their labeling. Be advised that there ARE ethical supplement companies out there who regulate themselves quite competently by using 3rd party testing of their products to ensure their labeling matches their contents - AND who have scientific researchers and MD's on their advisory boards who 'research the research' - solid bioscientific research - in order to complete their health-enhancing formulations. Has she mentioned this? No. She has a tendency to want to confirm her own biases and, IMO, lacks critical thinking & an open mindset... So, if I didn't know better, and wanted someone to tell me how to think about the idea of taking supplements to benefit my health, I'd believe that ALL supplements are no good (I could be taking dirt from someone's back yard, haha...so stay away from all supplements)...seems to be her best advice. How VERY closed minded, biased, unprofessional, IMO. Btw, one highly ethical supplement company we can trust is Thorne Research.... with a full staff of MD's & bioscientists, and they use 3rd party testing on all their products - money back guarantee if we are not completely satisfied - and complete assurance that their contents match their labeling. She's made excellent points about how important strength training is for us as we age, although no mention of the importance of quality protein in our diet (all the essential amino acids) in ample amounts to help maintain our muscle mass, especially skeletal muscle, and our bone health. We need both, a high protein diet and strength training, as we age. just my 2 cents...apologize for the length🙄
